Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for May. This month we are using the colors Call Me Clover, Night of Navy, and Pineapple Punch. Two of these colors, Call Me Clover and Pineapple Punch, are retiring In Colors.
I love our color combination this month! I'm using the Floral Essence stamp set.
This is a simple card that I think you could make easily.
Start with a card base of Night of Navy that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.
The next layer is Call Me Clover. It's such a pretty green. It is cut at 3 3/4 x 5. From the middle of this sheet punch 3 sets of leaves using the Leaf Punch. Can you believe this punch is retiring? I will miss it!
The next layer is Whisper White that is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8. Run this layer through your die cut machine with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.
About 2/3 down this white layer run a length of Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon across. Tape this to the back of this layer. Adhere all the layers together.
Stamp the smaller flower on Whisper White in Night of Navy ink. To make sure I had a good solid image, I made sure that the ink pad was refilled. Stamp the center in Pineapple Punch ink. Trim around the flower image. Add two sets of the leaf punch outs to the back of the flower.
Stamp a circle from Whisper White using the Stitched Shapes dies.
The saying is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set. It's stamped in Night of Navy to one side of the circle.
Add the flower with glue or glue dots. Add a bow of the Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon with a glue dot.
Add the label with dimensionals.
The sayings for the inside of the card are from the To a Wild Rose stamp set. Stamp in Night of Navy. Stamp the smaller flower in Night of Navy, the center in Pineapple Punch and cut out. Add leaves behind the flower with the last Leaf Punch shape. I did tear it apart and add from the back.
This mostly white card let's you focus on the flower. I think it looks clean and crisp. What do you think?
