Ornate Garden Suite- April Class

Thanks for attending class with me.  This post is for Friday, April 10th.  I am making a post each day of this week, April 6-10.  This is the class I would normally have in my home.  The quarantine has made that impossible.  I know that many of you are home and crafting during this time.  This is my way of sharing with you.  Each day I will have a card, a blog post, a video, and a downloadable tutorial.  There are a limited supply of cards kits available.  If you are interested, email me at  This is available only to those in the US.  Cost for local pick up from the box in my carport is $15.  Cost for a kit that is mailed would be $20.  Please note that we cannot send stamped images to you.  Other stamps can be substituted.  If you would like to make an order, please look at the end of the post for links.   I thank you and enjoy!

Card Base: Terracotta Tile 4 ¼ x 5 ½

Cardstock #2: Mint Macaron 4 ¼ x 7, score at 3 ½

Cardstock #3: Whisper White 3 ¼ x 4, Whisper White scrap

Designer Paper: 4” width and approximately 3 ½” long

Run the Terracotta Tile base through a die cutting machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Run through with a vertical orientation and again in a horizontal orientation.

Fold Mint Macaron piece and burnish with a Bone Folder. Glue the back of this layer to the center of the base.

Use the narrow stitched rectangle die from the Ornate Layers dies to cut three rectangles from the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP. Keep these in order so that the design will flow when they are adhered to the card.

Add each designer series paper panel with dimensionals. Add the sides and then the middle so the spacing will look right.

Add the Terracotta Tile ribbon. Add with a glue dot behind where the saying will go, pull the ribbon around the back and on down the front to meet the start. Finish with another glue dot.

Stamp the saying from the Botanical Prints stamp set in Terracotta on Whisper White scrap. Cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Glue to the card front.

Stamp the single flower from the Ornate Style stamp set in Early Espresso. Color using the Light and Dark Calypso Coral Blends and the Light and Dark Mint Macaron Blends. Color the center with a Crushed Curry marker. Fussy cut and glue to the bottom of the saying.

Inside the card stamp the saying from Honey Bee in Terracotta Tile.

Stamp part of the large flower stamp from Ornate Style in the lower right corner in Early Espresso. Color with the same colors as the flower on front.

Glue the inside to the card.

Love the colors on this card. I wasn't too sure about the Tarracotta Tile color but it is growing on me. It pairs so well with the Ornate Garden DSP.

Thanks, Twila. I feel the same way about Terracotta Tile. I've never been an orange person!
