Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #609 Medium Daisy Punch

Hi! Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #609. This week we are using the colors Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay.

These are lovely spring colors so I had to make a spring card.

I wanted to see if I could make a card with no stamping on the front. I think it turned out nicely.

The base is Bermuda Bay that measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and is folded at 4 1/4.

The next layer is Daffodil Delight. Cut it to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. From the middle of this layer, cut out the word FRIEND using the Well Written dies. Be careful to keep up with the dot of the letter I.

The Coastal Cabana layer is 3 3/4 x 5. Run it through a die cutting machine with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder. Attach all of the layers.

The flourishes behind the flowers are cut with the Stitched Stars dies. The small swirl is cut apart and extends beyond the daisy at each end. At the bottom of the card, cut two of the large swirls. Use the end from each that doesn't have the stars too close to the end. These swirls extend from each flower at the bottom.

To glue the intricate part, put a squirt of glue on a craft mat. Cut a sponge into 4 parts. Keep the swirl in one place. If you move it around, the glue will end up on the front of the swirl. Sponge the cut on the back of the swirl and attach to the card. Use the flowers to be sure of your spacing before gluing.

For each flower you will need to punch 3 of the Medium Daisy Punches in Whisper White. With your hands bend up the petals for each layer. Glue together a little askew for each layer. The center is from the Poppy Moments dies. Cut 4 of each center. Glue askew and then bend the little stem like pieces up toward the center. Glue to the center of the flower. Glue or use glue dots to adhere the daisies.

Glue the word friend just as you glued the swirls above.

For the inside add the small swirl near the bottom of the page. The saying is from the Ornate Thanks stamp set.
