Botanical Prints product Medley

March 23, 2020

The Botanical Print Product Medley is found on page 61 of the January-June Mini Catalog. It's lovely. The kit has the Botanical Print stamp set and dies, a 48 sheet set of 6 x 6 designer series papers (8 each of 6 different designs), 4 sheets of die-cut accents (2 each of 2 designs), 4 sheets of laser-cut overlays (2 each of 2 designs), Old Olive Twill ribbon, and 12 copper colored metal bee embellishments.

Here is a card that I made using the Botanical Prints Product Medley.

The designer papers make this card! I'm a sucker for black and white.

Start with a card base of Thick Whisper White that is 4 1/4 x 11. Score at 5 1/2 and fold. Burnish with your Bone Folder.

The Pretty Peacock designer paper is cut at 2 1/2 x 5 1/2. The black and white squares is 1 3/4 x 5 1/2. The black and white stripe is 1/4 x 5 1/2. Glue the 2 side pieces to the card front. Add the thin stripe down the center. Use the Grid Paper to make sure that this paper is straight on the card front.

The front banner is cut from Thick Whisper White using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Add to the center of the card with dimensionals.

Stamp the berry stem 4 times on Whisper White with Memento Black. One of these will go on the inside of the card. Color these with the Light Granny Apple Green Blend and the Light Pretty Peacock Blend. Cut out using the Botanical Prints dies. Glue three of the stems on the banner stretching out from the center. Watch about the glue. Some of the stems will extend past the banner.

Use the Pretty Peacock Scallop Linen Ribbon for this card. I just wanted to have a thin piece of color, so I trimmed off the lacy edge from one side of this ribbon. Loop and attach in the center with a glue dot.

Stamp the saying, from Botanical Prints, in Memento Black on a piece of Whisper White scrap. Trim around the saying. Add to the card with dimensionals.

Add the fourth berry stem to the inside of the card.

All Dressed Up A Product Medley Tutorial by Cathy Cox

Today I am going to share a card by Cathy Cox that uses the Dressed to Impress bundle.

Isn't this card just too cute! I love how she used the Silver Foil Sheets for the mirror! Here are the directions.

Supplies:

Stamp Sets: Dressed to Impress (#151666)

Cardstock: Mint Macaron (#138337), Highland Heather (#146986), Purple Posy (#150881), Whisper White (#100730)

Ink: Memento (#132708), Highland Heather (#147103)

Tools & Accessories: All Dressed Up Dies (#151665), Stitched Shapes Dies (#145372), Layering Ovals Dies (#141706), Ornate Frames Dies (#150664)

Designer Paper: Best Dressed 6”x6” Designer Series Paper (#151319), Silver Foil Sheets (#132178)

Misc: ½” Scalloped Linen Ribbon – Purple Posy (#149706), Light & Dark Daffodil Delight Blends (#144603), Light & Dark Mint Macaron Blends (#147283), Light Purple Posy Blends (#149564), Light Highland Heather Blends (#146881)

Measurements:

Card Base: 5 ½” x 8 ½” Mint Macaron

Cardstock #2: 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” Highland Heather

Cardstock #3: 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White (Inside of card)

Designer Paper: 3 ¾” x 5” & 1” x 4”

Scrap Pieces: Mint Macaron (2” x 3 ½”), Purple Posy (2” x 3”), Whisper White (1” x 4”), Silver Foil (2 ½” x 3 ½”), Smoky Slate (1” x 1”)

Instructions:

Stamp Perfume bottle using Memento ink on scrap Purple Posy cardstock. Cut out using All Dressed Up Die.

Stamp center of Perfume bottle using Memento ink on scrap Smoky Slate cardstock. Fussy cut center square.

Stamp “hello Fabulous” using Highland Heather ink on scrap Purple Posy cardstock. Cut out using Ornate Frames Die.

Stamp one single flower and two of the flower duo using Memento ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock. Color using Blends markers. Cut out using All Dressed Up Dies.

Using largest Layering Ovals Scallop Oval die, cut out of center of Highland Heather piece (Cardstock #2).

Die cut scrap piece of Silver Foil Sheet using largest Stitched Shapes oval die.

Die cut scrap piece of Mint Macaron using Ornate Frames die.

Fussy cut out small purse from Best Dressed 6”x6” Designer Series Paper.

Attach 3 ¾” x 5” Best Dressed Designer Series Paper to Highland Heather mat.

Attach mat to card.

Attach Foil oval to Highland Heather scalloped circle. Attach to front of card.

Attach Smoky Slate cut piece to center of perfume bottle.

Attach to left side of Foil piece.

Attach sentiment to Mint Macaron ornate frame. Attach to card front using Dimensionals.

Attach single flower using Dimensional. Attach one flower duo and purse.

Stamp sentiment to inside of card using Highland Heather ink on Whisper White piece.

Attach 1” x 4” piece of Best Dressed 6”x6” Designer Series Paper to bottom of Whisper White piece.

Attach ribbon to inside of card.

Attach second flower duo to inside of card.

Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #604 Dressed to Impress

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a sketch.

As I began to think about this challenge, my Best Dressed Designer Series Paper was lying on my desk. I just love the beautiful flowers in this pack. I had to use it.

My base is Blackberry Bliss. It measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and is folded at 4 1/4.

The patterned paper is cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. I wanted just a small border around the edge.

The next Blackberry Bliss paper is cut to 3 1/8 x 4 1/8. The designer paper is 3 x 4.

The Petal Pink strip is cut to 1/2 x 3 3/4.

The banner for the front is cut from Whisper White using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. The saying, in Blackberry Bliss ink, is from the Dressed To Impress stamp set.

Stamp the flowers in Blackberry Bliss. I used the Light and Dark Petal Pink Blends and the Dark Old Olive Blend to color the flowers. The center is in Dark Daffodil Delight. Cut out with the All Dressed Up dies. I have used the stamp set and dies. The Dressed To Impress bundle is a better value.

The saying on the inside is from the Botanical Prints Product Medley. Stamp in Blackberry Bliss. Stamp three flowers along the bottom in different orientations. Color as on the front.

Using the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper made this card a snap. The paper does all the work.
