Color Fusers Blog Hop for March, 2020

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for March.  This month we are using the colors Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, and Soft Suede.

No photo description available.

For my card, I am using the Magnolia Blooms stamp set.  This set is located in the beginner brochure titled Experience Creativity Beginner Brochure.  They are available from Stampin' Up!  If you need one, contact me.  On with the card.

The card base is Mint Macaron cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  I cut another layer that is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 to stamp.  I did this because I messed up the front of the card base.  I do think having the extra layer works.  Sometimes mistakes work out well.  Stamp this layer with the words stamp from the Very Versailles stamp set.  Stamp in Pear Pizzazz.  I stamped it 4 times.  The words did run off the page.  Now stamp the leaves from Very Versailles.  This is also in Pear Pizzazz and is stamped multiple times to cover the layer.  Use a sponge dauber to sponge around the edges of this layer and to add a little brown to the front.  Use Soft Suede.  Sponge all around the card front, too.

The oval comes from the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders.  First cut the oval from Soft Suede card stock.  Then, run the oval through the corresponding embossing folder.  Add a little more Soft Suede with a sponge dauber.  Add to the center of the card with dimensionals.

Stamp three of the flowers using Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  Color the centers of each with a Light Soft Suede Blend.  Use a sponge dauber to add some Soft Suede from the center of the flower.  Color the leaves with Light and Dark Mint Macaron Blends.  They will need to be fussy cut.  Add to the card with glue.  Put dimensionals under the flowers where they extend over the oval.

The saying is from Very Versailles.  Stamp in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla.  I add some stamped off words over this in Mint Macaron.  I used the large words stamp.  Sponge dauber just a little suede on it.  Fussy cut around the saying.  Use a Bone Folder to curl the saying up and down.  Add using glue dots where it is down and dimensionals where it is up.

Finish off the card with a bow.  Use the Nature's Twine Macaron twine.  Pull the strands apart from an 8" piece.  Put the pieces back together and tie into a bow.  Add with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, use Very Vanilla.  Stamp off the sayings stamp in Pear Pizzazz and add to the top center.  The saying is from Very Versailles stamped in Soft Suede.   Add a flower to the bottom and color the same as the front.

Beautiful card Jo Anne!!! I never would have thought to sponge flowers with Soft Suede. It comes off looking pink and it's super pretty with that background. Love it!
