Good Morning! Today, I'm sharing a card using the stamp set Easter Promise. It's on page 45 of the January-June Mini Catalog. I'm part of a group of demonstrators that are working together to make projects available for all of us to use. This is my contribution for February.
I must admit that this set seemed a challenge for me. I also must say that I'm really proud of my card. I think it's beautiful. I wrote a tutorial for the group so here it goes.

Designer Paper: Subtles DSP #149615
Misc: Bow Maker
Card Base: 5 ½ x 8 ½, score and fold at 4 ¼ in Highland Heather
Cardstock #2: 4 x 5 ¼ Whisper White
Designer Paper: 1 ½ x 5 ¼ Highland Heather check
Stamp the row of crocuses across the bottom of the Whisper White layer in Tuxedo Black Memento ink starting at the left. You will need to stamp right beside the first stamping to finish across the row to the other side of the paper. The area where these two stampings meet will be covered with designer paper.
Color in the flowers as you please using Light and Dark Highland Heather, Light Granny Apple Green, Dark Daffodil Delight, and Dark Mango Melody Blends.
Run this layer through a die cutting machine with the Subtle EF. Run this through once with the paper up and down in the folder. Run again with the paper turned sideways in the folder. This gives a linen look to the layer.
Add the Highland Heather check paper to the card. I use Grid Paper to help make sure to get the layer straight. Make sure to cover where the two stampings meet.
Cut the banner piece from a scrap of Whisper White.
Stamp the larger group of crocuses on scrap Whisper White in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Color in with the same colors as above. Use the Color Lifter on the crocus that is only Light Highland Heather in spots to lighten. Fussy cut the flowers out.
Add the flowers to the banner. Put glue on the stems and dimensionals behind the flowers.
Color Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding with the Dark Highland Heather Blend. Color a 2” piece and a 12” piece. The short piece goes around the bottom of the banner. Tape from the back. Make a bow with the long piece and add with a glue dot. I used a bow maker to make my bow.
Add the banner with dimensionals.
Stamp the saying from Easter Promise on scrap Whisper White. Cut apart the words needed and glue to the card.
Add the large white layer to the front of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
For the inside of the card, stamp the large Happy Easter in Highland Heather.
Stamp the large flowers again and color in the one on the right. Fussy cut and add in the right bottom corner.

That's it for today. I hope you'll try a card similar to this one. Who wouldn't want to get this Easter card? Let me just say that I absolutely love coloring the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding! I can have ribbon in any color that has a Blend. This ribbon is also perfect for tying and thin enough not to cost extra in postage! It is perfect!
