Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #600 Pleased As Punch
February 20, 2020
Hello to you today. As part of the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge I have a card based on our sketch.
I haven't used the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper yet. It's part of the Coordination Product Release. This paper is so bright and colorful. It also coordinates with the Tulip Builder Punch, the Umbrella Builder Punch, and the Small Bloom Punch. You get 3 each of 4 double sided sheets. It's only available until the end of March. Here is my card.
There's not much stamping to this one. I think these colors would bring cheer to anyone!
The card base is Thick Whisper White that is 4 1/4 x 11, scored and folded at 5 1/2.
The stripe paper is cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I like to add this layer with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. It gives just a little time to adjust the paper perfectly.
The raindrop paper measures 3 x 4. Glue down right in the center of the card.
There is a small long rectangle of green down near the bottom of the raindrop paper. It's from the back of the tulip paper in the same pack. It is 1/2 x 4. I was able to get this from scraps even though I punch out a lot of the tulips.
The next layer is from the Brights 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog. Cut it to 3/4 x 3 1/4. Place this with dimensionals over the small rectangle.
The saying is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set. Stamp in Balmy Blue on a scrap of Whisper White. I put glue along the top and dimensionals along the bottom.
The tulip is punched with the Tulip Builder Punch. Instead of punching the leaves from the tulip side, I punched them from the green side. There's no matching things up! The leaves have a glue dot at the bottom and a dimensional out at the end.
The inside of the card has another tulip. The stem is just a 1/4 inch strip from scrap. The saying is from the Sending You Thoughts stamp set (Sale-a-Bration). Stamp in Balmy Blue.
This was actually my second card using this sketch and the tulips. Here is my first.
This just has more tulips. Which one do you like best? I thought this one might hide too much of the raindrop piece in the background.
Thanks so much for your time today. I'm so happy you chose to spend a little with me. It's an honor. If you need any supplies, please let me help you. My information is below. I do check my comments, too.
