Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #594 Parisian Blossoms

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #594!  This week we have a sketch.

Stampin' Up!'s designer paper is so pretty.  Sometimes the paper just has to take the primary role on a card.  That's the case today.  I'm using the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper.

CCMC #594 Parisian Blossoms by Jo Anne Hewins

Start with a card base of Thick Whisper White.  Cut it to 4 1/4 x 11 and score at 5 1/2.  Use a Bone Folder to crease it well.

Cut the script paper from Parisian Blossoms Specialty to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and add it to cover the front of the card.  I like to use out Multipurpose Liquid Glue so that I have a little time to move the paper exactly where I need it.

Vellum card stock cut to 3 x 4 1/4 is used for the next layer.  Run it through the die cut machine with the Parisian Flourish  3D Embossing Folder.  To add this layer, I used our glue again.  Squirt out a little on scrap paper.  Add to the back of the vellum with a sponge. (Cut the Stampin' Sponge into 6 pie pieces to use)

The next layer goes back to the patterned paper.  Cut this layer to 2 1/2 x 3 and glue.

The saying on the front of the card is from the Timeless Tropical stamp set.  Stamp in Versamark on a 1/2 inch piece of scrap.  Mine might actually be just a little wider.  Please remember to use your Stampin' Buddy first!  Use Silver Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool to set this.  The silver embossing looks so good with this card since the base paper of the card has silver in it.  Add about a 5 inch piece of the Petal Pink Organdy Stripe Ribbon folded over with glue dots.  Use those where the sentiment will cover it.  Add the saying with dimensionals.

The final piece to this card is the addition of Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  Aren't they perfect!

Here is the inside of my card.  I had to emboss this saying from Timeless Tropical in silver as well.  The strip of designer paper is 3/4 x 5 1/2.

You know, you can make this card easily.  I think it's so pretty.  This one went to a friend Jean on her birthday.
