Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #593 Small Bloom Punch

Happy New Year and welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #593. I've taken a little time off, but I am back. I'll be trying to post now on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. I hope that you will take a look on those days and that you'll enjoy my samples.

When I last posted I had fallen and dislocated my right shoulder. For now I'm wearing the sling all the time and trying not to move the shoulder very much. I go back to the doctor on the 16th and hopefully I'll begin therapy soon after. I can still stamp, but movement is limited. I am not in pain at the present.

Our colors for this week are Purple Posy, Petal Pink, and Mint Macaron. I chose to use the Small Bloom Punch and the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set that coordinates with it for my sample today. Both can be earned for free from the Sale-a-Bration brochure on pages 12 and 13. The punch is free with a $100 order. The stamp set is free with a $50 order. When looking at the photo, I see that a few of my centers had moved. Can I blame it on being crippled? Well, you know how it should be!

Start with a base of Mint Macaron that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

The Purple Posy layer is 3 7/8 x 5 1/8.

The Whisper White layer is 3 3/4 x 5. Using the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set, stamp stems at the bottom left corner in Mint Macaron. I also stamped the stems going out for my bouquet from the top of the stems just stamped. I randomly stamped in the large leaf stamp over the area where I wanted to place flowers. I wanted them to show through in the space left between flowers.

The flowers were punched from Purple Posy designer paper from the 2019-2021 6 x 6 In Color Designer Series Paper. I used 11 of them. Stamp the center for this flower using the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set and the Purple Posy marker from the 2019-2021 In Color Stampin' Write Marker set. Just color directly on the stamp with the large end of the marker.

Stamp on Petal Pink designer paper from the Subtles 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. Make sure that one of the petals points is straight up and you'll have no trouble punching them out.

Use a bone folder to curl the petals back. Place the flowers on a Stampin' Pierce Mat. I then used the handle end of a paper piercer (retired) in the center of each flower and pushed down. This makes the flower look more 3 dimensional.

The centers of the Purple Posy flowers are from the 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots. The centers of the Petal Pink flowers are from the Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins.

Adhere all flowers with glue dots.

Add additional leaves in Mint Macaron if you see they are needed.

Stamp the sentiment in Mint Macaron.

Add a bow using the Petal Pink Organdy Stripe Ribbon with a glue dot.

Here is the inside of my card. It's all from the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set.

This card might look hard, but the punch makes it pretty easy. Don't we all love free stuff!
