The Night Before Christmas Suite

I have shared some of the projects made while I was on the Scrap & Paper Caribbean Cruise with Jennifer Gulch.  Today I want to share some of the projects made using the Night Before Christmas Suite.  This was not a suite that I purchased so I was happy to make these projects using some of the product.  These cards feature the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Cards & Envelopes and the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card Pack.  These are found on page 25 of the Holiday catalog.

Night Before Christmas Memories & More by Jo Anne Hewins

These cards are also pretty quick to make.

This card is just several layers of the cards.  Add dimensionals, Linen Thread, and a Jingle Bell and it's done!

Night Before Christmas Memories & More Jingle All the Way by Jo Anne Hewins

The same is true here.  The stickers are part of the card pack.  We added a Pearlized Doily, some of the Cherry Cobbler 3/8" Diagonal Stripe Ribbon, Linen Thread and a Jingle Bell.  Top it off with a few rhinestones!

Night Before Christmas Memories & More Santa and Bag by Jo Anne Hewins

For this card, we did fussy cut around the Santa.  Just layer everything else.

I think this one is my favorite.  The stars that you see are part of the card front from the Cards & Envelopes pack.

This card and the one above used some of the Metallic Pearls on page 176 of the Annual Catalog.

I hope you enjoyed seeing some samples using the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Cards & Envelopes and the Night Before Christmas Memories & More Card Pack.  These are retiring soon and are only available while supplies last!

Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #590 First Frost

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #590.  Today we are using a sketch.

CCMC590

Here is the card that I made using First Frost and the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper.

CCMC #590 First Frost by Jo Anne Hewins

Start with a card base of Thick Whisper White that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.

As I said, the paper is from the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper.  The mainly Seaside Spray paper is cut at 2 x 5 1/2.  Glue this paper next to the fold of the card.  Add the Terracotta Tile paper, cut to 2 1/4 x 5 1/2, butted up next to the seaside paper.  This should cover the front of the card.  Turn the card front over and trim the paper if needed to fit.

Add a different piece of the designer paper that measures 1 x 4 1/2 butted up next to the seam.

Run the Cajun Craze thread from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo Pack around the card three times right at the seam of the two papers.  I just tape with regular scotch tape right where the white circle will hide everything.  Add a bow at the top of the circle later with a glue dot.

Make the largest circle in Whisper White using the Stitched Shapes.  Add to the card with dimensionals avoiding the area where the thread would interfere everything lying smooth.

CCMC #590 First Frost Close Up by Jo Anne Hewins

For the circle, you'll need to make three leaves in Old Olive, three of the branches with dots in Cajun Craze, three large flowers stamped in Seaside Spray on Whisper White, and two small flowers stamped in Terracotta Tile on white.  Cut out with the Frosted Bouquet dies.  The stamp set is First Frost from page 140 of the Annual Catalog.

Simply arrange these elements on the circle.  Some are glued, some are on dimensionals.  The leaves and branch near the bottom are actually attached under the circle.

Stamp the saying from First Frost on a white scrap in Cajun Craze.  Add to the card with glue dots.

CCMC #590 First Frost Inside of Card by Jo Anne Hewins

Here is the inside of the card.  The designer paper is 3/4 x 5 1/2.  The saying is from First Frost.  Add a flower and stem.

Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today.  First Frost and the Frosted Bouquet dies have been around for a while, but they are favorites of mine.  I really love those little branches with the dots!

A Few Samples from the Brightly Gleaming Suite

Today I am sharing some projects I made on the Scrap & Paper Caribbean Cruise recently with Jennifer Gulch.  She has such great projects for us to make.  Look at this group of projects made using the Brightly Gleaming Suite.

Christmas Gleaming Cards & Copper Tin by Jo Anne Hewins

Aren't these great!

Christmas Gleaming Copper Tin by Jo Anne Hewins

I had not paid much attention to the Copper Tea Tins that at in the Annual Catalog on page 173.  I thought they would be larger.  They are 3 3/4 x 3 5/8 x 2 1/4.  They are smaller than other tins we have had that hold cards.  These tins are perfect to use here at Christmas to hold a gift card or sweet treats!  After filling this one, I'll tie some of the 1/2" Classsic Weave ribbon that says Merry Christmas around the box with a bow on top!

Christmas Gleaming Jolly by Jo Anne Hewins

I had not ordered the Pretty Peacock and Old Olive Reversible Ribbon on page 174 of the Annual Catalog.  It's really quite beautiful and works so well with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I love that paper!

Christmas Gleaming Holly & Star by Jo Anne Hewins

This card has the ribbon I was talking about with the tin.  It's so pretty.  Notice the use of the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing folder and the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements.

Christmas Gleaming Deck the Halls by Jo Anne Hewins

This card uses some of the same elements.  The stamp set is called Christmas Gleaming.

Christmas Gleaming Copper Bag by Jo Anne Hewins

This project uses the Copper Dotted Treat Bags on page 173 of the Annual Catalog.  They are perfect for Christmas!  There is a 2 pack of punches that go along with this suite.  It's the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.  The stamp set and punches can be purchased as a bundle now while supplies last.  The great thing though is that I think we'll see the stamp set and punches along with the Star Designer Elements and the Brightly Gleaming Specialty paper next year with the new Holiday catalog in 2020.  It will NOT come back as a bundle where you can save 10%!

Here's a picture of the cards and bag again.  I love everything we made!

Color Fusers Blog Hop for December, 2019

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for December!  We will be using Silver, Seaside Spray, and Blueberry Bushel.  You might have just come from Barb's blog.  Wow!  If you are just starting here, be sure to visit all of our blogs to see all of the exciting samples using these colors.

No photo description available.

This card was so much fun!  I must say I love how it turned out!

Color Fusers Stitched Stars by Jo Anne Hewins

It all starts with a card base of Blueberry Bushel cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

The next layer is also Blueberry Bushel.  It measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  Run this layer through the die cutting machine with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.  Now take the Versamark pad and drag it lightly across this layer covering most of it.  Emboss with Silver Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool.

The next layer is Silver Foil that is 2 3/4 x 4.  From the center cut the larger silver star and the corresponding detailed star both from the Stitched Stars dies.

The Seaside Spray layer measures 2 1/2 x 3 3/4.  Run it through the die cutting machine with the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder.  Again rub the layer with the Versamark pad and emboss with Silver Emboss Powder.  Add the layers. Run the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon around the rectangles and tie in a bow.  Attach to the center of the card front with dimensionals.

Color Fusers Stitched Stars Close Up by Jo Anne Hewins

The saying is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.  Stamp in Blueberry Bushel on Whisper White and trim around it.  Add to the bottom of the Seaside Spray layer.  Attach the two silver stars with a glue dot.  Add to the card with dimensionals.

Cut the large swirl from the Stitched Stars dies from Silver Foil.  Add the stars that some out of that to the card randomly with glue dots.  Cut the ends of the swirl and add to the upper right and lower left corners.

Color Fusers Stitched Stars Inside by Jo Anne Hewins

Here is the inside of the card.  This saying is from Itty Bitty Christmas.  Cut another swirl from Silver Foil.  Add it to the inside along with the stars that cut out.  To glue the swirl I added a blob of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to a corner of my Silicone Craft Sheet.  Cut a Stampin' Sponge into 6 parts.  With one of them, dab glue on the back of the swirl.  Try not to move it around on the mat so you don't get glue on the front.
