Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #590 First Frost

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #590. Today we are using a sketch.

Here is the card that I made using First Frost and the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper.

Start with a card base of Thick Whisper White that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.

As I said, the paper is from the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. The mainly Seaside Spray paper is cut at 2 x 5 1/2. Glue this paper next to the fold of the card. Add the Terracotta Tile paper, cut to 2 1/4 x 5 1/2, butted up next to the seaside paper. This should cover the front of the card. Turn the card front over and trim the paper if needed to fit.

Add a different piece of the designer paper that measures 1 x 4 1/2 butted up next to the seam.

Run the Cajun Craze thread from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo Pack around the card three times right at the seam of the two papers. I just tape with regular scotch tape right where the white circle will hide everything. Add a bow at the top of the circle later with a glue dot.

Make the largest circle in Whisper White using the Stitched Shapes. Add to the card with dimensionals avoiding the area where the thread would interfere everything lying smooth.

For the circle, you'll need to make three leaves in Old Olive, three of the branches with dots in Cajun Craze, three large flowers stamped in Seaside Spray on Whisper White, and two small flowers stamped in Terracotta Tile on white. Cut out with the Frosted Bouquet dies. The stamp set is First Frost from page 140 of the Annual Catalog.

Simply arrange these elements on the circle. Some are glued, some are on dimensionals. The leaves and branch near the bottom are actually attached under the circle.

Stamp the saying from First Frost on a white scrap in Cajun Craze. Add to the card with glue dots.

Here is the inside of the card. The designer paper is 3/4 x 5 1/2. The saying is from First Frost. Add a flower and stem.

Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today. First Frost and the Frosted Bouquet dies have been around for a while, but they are favorites of mine. I really love those little branches with the dots!
