Wrapped in Plaid Meets the Pine Tree Punch

The Wrapped in Plaid 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper is so pretty.  It's perfect for any time, but for Christmas it just shines.  Literally.  It has a gold metallic line running through it!  Here's my card for today.

Wrapped in Plaid Pine Tree Card by Jo Anne Hewins

Start with a piece of Shaded Spruce card stock that measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  Stamp the tree from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Shaded Spruce.  I did stamp off first.  This adds a little interest to the card.  It might not be noticed at first, but it does add so much!

The plaid paper is cut to 2 x 5 1/2.  I use my grid paper to help center this paper to my card front.  Using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue gives you a small moment to move the paper to just the right place.  Cut 2 pieces of Gold Foil at 1/4 x 5 1/2.  Glue this down on each side of the plaid.  Be sure to butt this up right next to the plaid.  It makes it look like you have used a larger piece of gold, but you have saved!

Cut a circle using the Stitched Shapes dies largest circle.  I used Thick Whisper White for this.  Center the Pine Tree Punch and punch out the tree.  By the way the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and the Pine Tree Punch can be purchased as a bundle to save 10%!  Add the circle to the card with dimensionals.

The tiny stars are punched with the Twinkle Builder Punch from gold foil.  this is a great way to use scraps and not waste anything!  The star at the top of the tree is just a little larger.  Use glue to add the stars.

Stamp the saying in Shaded Spruce on Whisper White.  This saying is from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set.  Fussy cut around it and add under the circle with dimensionals.

Wrapped in Plaid Pine Tree Inside of Card by Jo Anne Hewins

Here is the inside of the card.  The saying is stamped in Night of Navy and is from the Perfectly Plaid set.  Stamp the tree in Shaded Spruce and the trunk in Early Espresso.  Don't forget to add a star at the top of the tree!

I hope you will try this card.  It's so much fun to make.  It's also pretty quick.  Well, those stars do take some time!

Thanks for joining me today for a little while.  If I can help you with your stamping, please let me know.  I would love to have your business.
