Snow Globe Scenes Dies for a WOW Card!

Hello to you today!  I have a very special card for you and a video to show you just how to make it.  Here you go!

Snow globe Scenes Christmas Project by Jo Anne Hewins

I love. love, love this card.  We made it in class and it was a hit!

Start with a card base of Night of Navy measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded in half.

The next layer is Seaside Spray and is 4 x 5 1/4.

The final layer is Whisper White.  Using the Snow Globe Scenes Dies cut a hole in this layer for the globe.  Check the distance from side to side and also make sure that you leave room for the base of the globe.  After cutting the hole, run this layer through your die cutting machine using the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder.

Use a piece of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper cut to 3 x 3 1/2 for the background for the snow scene.  Lay the paper down behind the white layer making sure none of it sticks out.  Trace around the hole with a pencil so that you know where to build the scene.  Now without moving that paper turn everything over and trace around the rectangle on the back of the white layer.  This will help you with placement later.

Build the scene.  For the card in my picture the trees, from Snow Globe Scenes Dies, are cut from the Sparkle Glimmer Paper.  I cut away the center tree because I thought it might take away from the church.  I don't think it would really matter since the trees and church are cut from different papers.  The church cut out in two parts.  Use Copper Foil to fill in the windows on the back of the church pieces.  Glue the pieces together.  Add the church to the scene.  You can glue this or you can add with dimensionals.  If you use dimensionals use a lot to make sure that the church stays in place.  My came loose later.

Take the top layer off of the Snow Globe Shaker Dome and add the white layer of paper over it.  It fits right in place.  Turn all of this over and add some of the Ice Stampin' Glitter and some of the Snowflake Sequins in the well of the globe.  Take off the bottom layer of the globe.  Add the scenes paper making sure to use the rectangle you traced to help you put it into place.  Make sure everything adheres.

Cut the globe base using the wood paper from the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper or the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The Copper Foil Sheets are used to cut the fancy design that goes over the wood base.  All are cut using the Snow Globe Scenes Dies.  Glue together and add to the card under the globe.

Add a bit of the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon to the card folded back on itself.

The saying is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and is stamped in Night of Navy.  Notch the ends and add to the card with dimensionals.

Punch a star from Copper Foil using the Twinkle Builder Punch and add to the card or add a star from the Star Design Elements.

Snow Globe Scenes Inside by Jo Anne Hewins

Here is the inside of the card.  The saying, in Night of Navy is from the So Many Stars stamp set.  The stars, from the same set, are stamped in the Celestial Copper Ink Pad.  Let that dry just a little.

This may all sound a bit fuzzy, but I hope my video will help you!  Take a look.
