One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop for November - Winter Festival

Welcome to the One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop for November.  Out theme this month is Winter Festival.

Christmas is my winter holiday of choice.  I will say that changing the sentiment could make this card for any occasion.  I'll be using the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack to make beautiful flowers!  I'll start with the card.

OSAT for November Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack Card by Jo Anne Hewins

Start with a card base of Thick Whisper White measuring 4 1/4 x 11.  Score and fold at 5 1/2.

Using the Wrapped in Plaid 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper stack, cut a piece of the Shaded Spruce dots to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  Glue to the card front.

Use your Embossing Buddy on the lower right corner of the card.  Using Versamark, stamp the saying from Perfectly Plaid.  Emboss with Gold Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool.

Cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheets to 1 1/4 x 4 1/4.  Add to the center a strip of the Wrapped in Plaid paper that is 1 1/8 x 4 1/4.  Add this on the lower half of the card above the sentiment.

To make the flower for the card you will need a 1 1/2" circle of Cherry Cobbler.  Use the smaller punch from the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.  Punch 8 of the Cherry Cobbler and 3 of the Shaded Spruce ornaments.  Attach four of the cherry ornaments around the outer part of the circle and 4 more around the inner part of the circle.  Arrange the second layer so that the petals are between the first petals.  I used a glue gun.  Now spritz the flower with water and a Stampin' Spritzer.  Crush the flower in several directions and then arrange it how you like.  Allow to dry.  Spritz and crush the spruce ornaments.  These can be glued on after all is dry.  Add a large Gold Faceted Gem in the center.  Sponge the flower with a dauber and the Delicata Golden Glitz ink.  Add to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Add a few more gems on the card.

I couldn't resist adding a little more of the Golden Glitz ink on the card front.  Who doesn't like a little more shine!

OSAT for November Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack Gold Pizza Box by Jo Anne Hewins

Here is my Gold Mini Pizza Box decorated to go with my card.  They make a great pair.

For this the top of the box is covered with the Shaded Spruce dots paper from Wrapped in Plaid.  This measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/4.  The Gold Foil is 1 1/8 x 3 1/4.  The plaid paper is 1 x 3 1/4.  Add this across the center of the lid.

This flower is a little larger, but made the same way.  I used 10 of the cherry ornaments, 6 around the outer part of the circle and 4 to the inside.  I still used three of the spruce ornaments for the leaves.

For the tag, stamp the saying from Itty Bitty Christmas in Cherry Cobbler on a Whisper White scrap.  Cut out using the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Dies.  Add with a glue dot to the lid of the box.  Add a ribbon of Linen Thread with a glue dot.

I will fill my box with some Hershey nuggets.  Wrap a strip of 1 x 3 Wrapped in Plaid papers around them to decorate.  That will have to wait until I get to the store, though.
