A Snowman Season Easel Card

Christmas with the First Frost

The First Frost stamp set and the Frosted Bouquet dies first came on the scene in last year's Holiday catalog.  It is loved by many and made it into the Annual catalog.  It's not a Christmas stamp set, but it sure makes a beautiful Christmas card.

First Frost Christmas Card by Jo Anne Hewins

Start with a base of Blueberry Bushel that measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The next layer is also Blueberry Bushel cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  Run this through your die cutting machine with the Scripty Embossing Folder.  Glue to the base.  This makes such a beautiful layer for everything else!

Cut the label from Whisper White.  Use the Stitched Labels dies.  The saying is from the Dashing Deer stamp set.  This set was carried over from last year and is in the Annual catalog.  Cover the word Thanks with scotch tape, ink the stamp in Blueberry Bushel and then take off the tape before you actually stamp.  Cut the word Wishes out from Blueberry Bushel with the Well Written dies.  Adhere the word and then glue the label to the card base.

Stamp three small flowers on Whisper White in Merry Merlot.  Cut these out using the Frosted Bouquet dies.  Did you notice that there is more than one die for this flower!!!

Cut two of the Merry Merlot sprigs using the same dies.

Cut two Old Olive leaf sprigs using the In the Woods dies.

One flower is glued down.  Add the Old Olive leaves and then the sprigs.  Add the last two flowers with dimensionals.

All of the inside of the card is stamped using the First Frost stamp set.  The saying is in Blueberry Bushel and the sprig is in Merry Merlot.

There is a lot of cutting out for this card using dies, but it is really a pretty easy card.
