A Snowman Season Easel Card
October 21, 2019
Don't you love the Snowman Season stamp set and the Snowman Builder Punch? I have seen so many cute cards with this bundle. I have a super cute one for you today with a video showing how to make it. Here's the card.
This is an easel card. Here is a side view.
Start with a card base of 4 1/4 x 11 and score at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2. Fold the card up from the bottom and make a mountain fold. I used Pool Party card stock.
Stamp in Pool Party ink around the outside of the large surface. Use the snowflakes from the Snowman Season stamp set.
The next layer is also from Pool Party. It measures 3 1/4 x 8 1/2. Score and fold at 4 1/4. Add this piece to the middle of the large surface centering it. This becomes another card and will have a saying inside.
Add a piece of the striped paper from the Let It Snow Specialty paper to the front flap of the card. This will be cut to 2 1/4 x 4. The tag on this piece will be used to hold the front flap of the smaller card. I stamped the Let It Snow sentiment in Real Red ink on a piece of Whisper White. Add a few of the snowflakes in Pool Party. Cut this out using the Stitched Nested Labels dies. Add to the card with dimensionals. Place the dimensionals at about half way down on the tag. Center this tag and adhere. The front flap of the smaller card will slide down behind the tag until it hits the dimensionals.
Add a piece of Whisper White that measures 3 x 4 to the inside of the card. Stamp Merry Christmas in Real Red. Stamp the snowman in Memento Black. Color in the snowman using Dark Pool Party, Dark Pumpkin Pie, and Dark Real Red blends.
For the front of the card add the snow patterned paper from the Let It Snow Specialty paper. This also measures 3 x 4. Stamp the two snowmen in Memento Black ink on Whisper White.
Take a strip of Whisper White that is 1 x 3. Tear off a little of the top of the strip. Add the strip to the bottom of the patterned paper. Add some of the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. Heat this with the Heat Tool. The paint will puff and look like snow! It's a lot of fun.
Use the Dark Pool Party, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Dark Real Red blends again to color the figures. Punch out the snowman with the Snowman Builder Punch and fussy cut the other. Just cut off the arms. We will add more. Use the punch to punch out 2 sets of arms from Soft Suede card stock.
Add the snowmen with dimensionals. Add the arms for each with a little glue.
Stamp the hat with Memento Black. Color in with Light Black, Real Red, and green. For the video I used Dark Smokey Slate, Dark Real Red, and Dark Granny Apple Green. I like that better. Add the hat with a glue dot.
