Variations on a Box Inspired by Tina Zinck

As we comb over Pinterest and other sources of stamping inspiration, we can find so many things we want to make.  A while back I came across a picture by Tina Zinck.  She was new to me, but that box!  It was beautiful!  Here is her picture.

I haven't asked Tina for permission to post her stuff.  I hope it's OK.  I just want to make sure that you know this is her creation!  Her post is from June 14, 2019 and can be found at  That's not all.  She has a great video on making the box, found at  The link is also on her post.

I decided that we would make the box as part of our Luv 2 Create team meeting.  While the box is not as hard to make as it first appears, I was asking a lot.  I sent the links above to them ahead of  time and asked that they have the box cut and scored and the designer series paper of their choice cut.  I also asked that they cut the pieces for the flowers if they had the dies.  I did have a time a day before the meeting that they could come for help with this if needed.  I also told them I could cut for them if they asked ahead of time.  I sent them pictures of my box.  I must say, the team arose to the challenge.  Some came with boxes already made.  Some did not finish their box completely, but just had to decorate.  Everyone helped each other!  After all, that's what stampers do.  I think we all had fun!

Book Box 1

This is my box.  I used the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper.  The flowers are made using the video by Stampin' Up!  Go to  I sponged some of the Delicata Golden Glitz ink around the petals.

Book Box Topper

The JOY on the front flap is from the So Many Stars stamp set in the Holiday catalog.

Here are a few pictures of the boxes made by some of my team.

I'm so happy that the team rose to the occasion.  We even got Teresa to spritz and scrunch, and I think she'll even do it again!!!  I'll get more pictures as they finish.  This is what I had for today.

I also want to share that Teresa said she was going to use her boxes as Prayer Boxes.  She is going to give them as gifts for people to write down their prayers and put them in the box.  This will encourage them to pray and give them suggestions in times when prayer is hard.  I think the same could be done with a Gratitude Box!

Thank you Tina Zinck for your inspiration!

I am grateful that you visited my blog today.  I hope that you are inspired, too.  If you need supplies to make your box, I would be happy to help you.
