Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #579. Today we are using Rococo Rose, Grapefruit Grove, and So Saffron.
These colors proved to be a challenge for me. My card is a little out of my box. I admit it. I added Basic Gray. I hope I can get by with it this time.
I decided to use the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks from the Holiday catalog page 35.
The base of the card is Basic Gray measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.
There is a layer is Rococo Rose cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8.
The next layer is Whisper White that is 3 3/4 x 5. Set this layer up with the dot mask. Use sponges to color this in. I took one of the Stampin' Sponges and cut it into 6 pieces. Use a sponge piece for each color. Use the Rococo Rose, transition into the So Saffron, and then transition into the Grapefruit Grove. It may look a little difficult, but it's really quite easy.
Stamp the snowman from Snowman Season on Whisper White. Stamp in Basic Gray. Color the hat and scarf with Rococo Rose and So Saffron Stampin' Write markers. Color the nose with the Grapefruit Grove Stampin' Write marker.
Frame with a scallop circle of Basic Gray cut using the Layering Circles Dies. Add this focal point with dimensionals.
I got a little carried away with the inside of the card. I just couldn't stop adding dots! The saying is from the Snowman Season stamp set.
This card is a little different for me, but I must say there is something about it that I like. Wouldn't you like it if colors were falling from the sky?
