Stamping Around the World August Blog Hop - Woven Heirlooms Frames

Welcome to the Stamping Around the World August Blog Hop.  Each month our group has a new tutorial for you.  We also have a blog hop that features the same products we used for our part of the tutorial.  That gives you lots more ideas!  More on the tutorials in a few moments.

For my part of the tutorial, I used the Heirlooms Embossing Folders and Dies.  I am loving these so much.  Here is my card for today.

Heirloom Dies and Embossing Folder Card by Jo Anne Hewins

I used a lot of product on this card, but it really is not hard to make.  I have a video at the end just in case you need it.

The card base is Mossy Meadow 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The next layer is Whisper White.  It measures 4 x 5 1/4.  I used the Very Versailles stamp set to cover this layer.  I stamped and then stamped again without reinking.  Continue until the front is filled.  Fill in as needed.  Remember that the oval will cover a good deal of the front.  It's OK to have the end of the stem show in there.

Cut the oval from the Heirlooms dies from Mossy Meadow.  Then run this through again with the embossing folder.  I have a great little hint in the video to help keep the oval right in the middle of the embossing folder.  Add to the card.

For the center of the oval, stamp the words from Very Versailles.  Stamp off the Mossy Meadow first.  I set the words from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set up on the Stamparatus.  I wanted to be able to stamp again and get the words dark so they would show up.  I used Merry Merlot.  Cut this out with the same oval used for the frame.  Add this center with dimensionals.

For the flower, stamp the flower that coordinates with the punch three times on Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Punch with the Perennial Flower Punch.  Curl the petals with your bone folder.  Add these 3 layers together with glue dots with each layer a little askew.  The center is punch from Merry Merlot with the 1/2" circle punch.

For a recent class, I used the Pressed Petals music paper.  Unfortunately, I cut my paper the wrong size and had to redo it.  So, I decided to use the other paper for my leaves on this card.  I can't waste it, can I?  Punch out two leaves with the Leaf Punch.

Now cut 3 of the sprigs from the Frosted Bouquet Dies from Merry Merlot.

Add the sprigs and leaves first with glue dots.  Now put the flower down right in the middle.  I used glue dots for that also.

Here is the inside of the card.  This was so easy.  The saying is from Butterfly Wishes.  I used the Stamparatus again for the saying.  Just stamp the leaves and stamp again without reinking!
