Our task for this month is all about flowers.  We were to find a picture for our inspiration and make a card to go with it.  My inspiration is my hydrangea bush in the yard.  I have to say it's not as pretty this year as in the past, but it's still pretty.  I took my own picture.

It looks great from this angle.  I'm so excited to share my card with you.

Beautiful Friendship Card by Jo Anne Hewins

I used the Beautiful Friendship and the Healing Hugs stamps sets.  They are both Distinktive and really work well together.

My card base is Blueberry Bushel that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The next layer is Seaside Spray 3 3/4 x 5.

I just built my flower on this layer.  Everything is fussy cut for this card.  If you enjoy that, and I do, then this card is so much fun.  The cutting is not hard at all!

All of my stamping is on Whisper White.  To be truthful, I used my scraps.  Ink the hydrangea stamp in Seaside Spray.  I used an ink dauber to add a little Blueberry Bushel ink directly to the stamp in a few places.  Stamp.  You will need two of these.  So that you don't contaminate the lighter blue, clean your stamp between stampings.  Fussy cut around the edges.  I did leave a white area around the stamped image.  Add Wink of Stella to the flowers.  They needed a little sparkle!  Add these to the card with dimensionals.

The leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow.  I used 13 sets of leaves.  I did cut one set into the 2 leaves to add in the corners.  Fussy cut all of them.  Again, I left a little white area around the outside.  Add to the card as you feel they are needed.  I added a glue dot to the bottom of the leaves and dimensionals to the top.  I just glued where the leaves overlap the flowers.  That's all there is to it.

The saying is from the Beautiful Friendship.  Stamp in Mossy Meadow.  Cut it out and glue to the flower.

I think this is really pretty and it was also pretty easy if you don't mind cutting!

Beautiful Friendship Inside of Card by Jo Anne Hewins

This is the inside of the card.  This is all from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set.  I did add the Wink of Stella on the inside, too!

Very pretty

Toni Campana

Love, love, love this! Hydrangea is one of my favorites. And I have to say our bushes weren't as pretty this year as in years past. But yours is lovely!

Anita Trippi

Really beautiful card, Jo Ann! LOL with the fussy cutting comments!

Jo Anne Hewins

Thanks so much, Toni. I just took a picture at the best place on my bush. I'm thankful to finally have some blooms. I guess they must have gotten frozen at the beginning of the season. Thanks for the kind words.

Jo Anne Hewins

Thanks, Tina.
