Snow Front Birthday
A Merry Moose Birthday

Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #576 Snow Front

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #576.  This week we have a sketch.

CCMC576

I decided to use the new Snow Front stamp set from the Holiday catalog.  I really like this sketch.  In fact, I used it on a post yesterday.  Go here to see it.

Here is my card for today.

Begin with a Gray Granite base cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

Cover the front with a layer of check paper.  I used the Gray Granite paper from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper.  Cut this at 4 1/2 x 5 1/2.  I used glue to attach this layer.  You will have a little give to move it if needed.

The Whisper White layer is 3 1/4 x 4.  Use the Snow Front stamp set to decorate.  I used Gray Granite for the mountains.  Stamp off one of them.  I also stamped the house and snowman in Gray Granite.  The trees are stamped in Mossy Meadow.  Some are stamped off before stamping.

Tie a length of the Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon around the layer and tie in a knot.  Add the layer to the card with snail.

The Happy Birthday is from the Perennial Birthday.  I used the Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut this out.  First cut close to the top of the Happy Birthday.  Now put the die so that the bottom is close.  Be sure to try to match the sides to the die.  Now the die cuts perfectly to the size of the words.  Add this label with dimensionals.

Finish the card with Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins.  I used the white ones.

I liked this card so much that I wanted to use it for my September class.  I just didn't have enough of the check designer paper without ordering a lot of packs.  So, I redesigned the card using the Buffalo Check background stamp.

I also changed to the Metallic Pearls.  I had lots of the silver so that will work great for class.  The label is just cut to 1 x the length of the word.  We will use the Stamparatus for the background stamp!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  The Holiday Catalog goes live on September 4th!  I hope you have your list ready to go.  You are going to love it all.
