A Merry Moose Birthday

Welcome! I'm so glad you are here today. I am using the Merry Moose Bundle today. You can find it on page 27 of the Holiday Catalog for Stampin' Up! This bundle has the Merry Moose stamp set, and, it also has the Moose Punch! I love a punch!

This card was inspired by the sample on page 27 of the catalog.

My card begins with a base of Thick Whisper White measuring 4 1/4 x 11. Score at 5 1/2 and fold. Cut off 1" from the bottom of the front of the card.

The checked paper is from the Regals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. I am using Shaded Spruce. You will need a piece cut at 1 1/8 x 4 1/4 Glue this to the bottom of the inside of the card.

The trees are stamped in Shaded Spruce and are from the Merry Moose stamp set. Some of the trees are stamped off for a lighter look. Be careful when you do this. If you stamp a tree and part of it is off the card. That line will show if you stamp it again. I colored the trunks of the trees with my Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker (from the Neutrals pack). The snow is stamped in Gray Granite ink. The moose tracks are also in Gray Granite.

The moose is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White in Early Espresso. I colored it with Light and Dark Crumb Cake Blends. I used a scrap because I wanted the moose in front of the trees. I also know that the blends will bleed through the card stock. I didn't want that to show on the inside of the card. Besides, I HAVE A PUNCH! Punch out the moose and glue to the card base. Stamp a scarf in Cherry Cobbler, fussy cut, and add to the moose.

The Happy Birthday is from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. I love the font. I did set this up on the Stamparatus just in case I needed to stamp it more than one time.

Here is the inside of the card. The saying is from the Special Celebrations stamp set. Stamp another tree and color the trunk with a Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker.
