Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #570 Inspiring Iris - Day 3

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #570. We are again CASEing one of the samples from the 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. This time we are on page 110.

I'm also showcasing the Inspiring Iris stamp set this week. Here is my card for today.

You might not have noticed these flowers in the Inspiring Iris stamp set. They are really pretty.

My card base is Granny Apple Green measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The card we are CASEing had words down the right side of the card. I decided to stamp the flowers down the side. I turned the stamp around each time to add a little interest. Stamp this in Granny Apple Green.

Cut a piece of Poppy Parade 2 1/2 x 3 and emboss this with the Eyelet Lace embossing folder. Add to the card. From the Brights 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper stack, cut a piece of the poppy gingham 1/2 x 3 and add to the bottom of the poppy layer.

You next need a piece of Whisper White cut to 2 1/4 x 3 1/4. Stamp the flower stamp in Memento black across the top and a little to the left. Turn the stamp and stamp across the bottom and a little to the right. Use the matching stamps to color in the flower in Poppy Parade, the leaves in Granny Apple Green, and the center in Daffodil Delight. Add to the card with dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment in Memento black on a strip of white that is 3/4 x 2 1/4. Add across the middle of the larger white rectangle.

Finish off the front of the card with some of the sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment.

The inside of the card is all from Inspiring Iris. I kind of missed the mark on stamping the poppy, but I decided to keep it. It's handmade, right!
