Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for July, 2019. I'm so happy you have joined us. This month we are using the colors Soft Sea Foam, Seaside Spray, and Purple Posy. You may have come from Barb's blog. Didn't you love her project!

I decided to use the Piece of Cake stamp set. It was in the Occasions catalog and carried over to our 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual catalog. I just recently bought the bundle. When I saw the colors we needed to use, I thought cake. Here's my card.

I started with a card base of Seaside Spray that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The next layer is Purple Posey that is cut to 3 3/4 x 5. Next is a layer of Whisper White that is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.

I love the new patterned paper that Stampin' Up! has for each color family and the In Colors. Seaside Spray and Purple Posey are part of the 2019-2021 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper pack. Soft Sea Foam is part of the Subtles 6 x 6 DSP pack. Cut strips of each color that measure 1 5/8 x 3 1/2. Add these strips at the top and the bottom first. Then add the strip in the middle.

The lace pieces in Soft Sea Foam are cut using the Arts & Crafts Dies. Add them along the seams of the paper. Trim even with the Whisper White layer.

Stamp the cake in Memento Black on Whisper White. Use the Dark Soft Sea Foam, the Dark Seaside Spray, and the Dark Purple Posy Blends to color in the cake. Cut out using the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes dies. Cut a scallop oval from Soft Sea Foam using the Layering Ovals dies. Mount these in the middle of the card using dimensionals.

The saying is stamped in Memento Black and cut apart. Add to the oval around the cake.

Finish the front with sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment.

Here's the inside of the card. All from the Piece of Cake stamp set. The cake is colored the same as on the front.

This makes such a cute birthday card!
