Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #555 Flourishing Phrases

So glad you are here today. The Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge is a color one today. We are using Mango Melody, Calypso Coral, and Melon Mambo.

I decided to use the Flourishing Phrases stamp set found on page 18 of the Annual Catalog. This set has been around for several years, but it's a good one. The sayings are really great. Here is my card.

I decided to use a lot of white with this card.

The card base is Calypso Coral that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The Basic Black layer is 3 3/4 x 5.

The Whisper White layer is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8. Rub over this layer with the Embossing Buddy. Now place on the Stamparatus. The large stamp will be centered on this layer. Stamp with Versamark. Stamp again if you feel you need it. Cover with Black Emboss Powder and heat with our Heat Tool. Now color in the parts of the diagram with Mango Melody, Calypso Coral, and Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Markers. Mango Melody and Melon Mambo are from the Brights and Calypso Coral is in the Subtles. Now run the whole layer through the Big Shot and the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder. It makes it all look just a little fancy! Adhere the white and black layers. Run a lenght of the Calypso Coral Satin Ribbon from the Occasions Catalog.

The sentiment is also embossed. How did we do that, you ask! Stamp the words using the Stamparatus. Use Mango Melody. I stamped it several times to get a really good image. Now clean the stamp and ink it with Versamark. Add Clear Emboss Powder and heat this. Cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Add to the card with dimensionals.

Here is the inside of the card. The Hello is from the Floral Frames stamp set. It's stamped in Melon Mambo. Stamp the design in Tuxedo Memento Black and color in as on the front.

You can see that I have really toned down these colors. I'm not really a brights person! I hope you like it anyway.
