Color Fusers Blog Hop for April 2019
April 01, 2019
Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for April of 2019.
You might have just come from Tami's blog. I know you loved her project! If you are just starting here, please visit everyone on the hop. You'll be glad you did!
When I saw those bright colors, I thought of watercolor, but we'll get to that.
The card base is Melon Mambo that measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The next layer is Mango Melody cut to 4 x 5 1/4.
Cut the watercolor paper in half. That would be 4 1/2 x 6. Spray the paper heavily. Put some of the Melon Mambo on a B Block. Touch it to the paper in several places. The ink should start to run. Do the same with the Mango Melody and the Pineapple Punch. Add more color if needed. Spritz again if you feel it is needed. Let the paper dry. Cut the paper down to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. Decide where you want to cut so that you still have the most interesting parts.
Wrap the Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon around the lower part of the card. I did go ahead and stamp the sentiment in the lower left. I used the Stamparatus to make sure it stamped well.
Stamp the bunny from Fable Friends onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I used the Stamparatus and Stazon Ink. The Stamparatus allows me to stamp the image again if it isn't dark enough.
I used the Aqua Painter and ink on a block to color in the bunny. For this you will want to keep the Aqua Painter pretty dry. Pooling water will only make a mess. Dab with a paper towel quickly. In fact, have a paper towel handy to dab off some of the water. Paint in the ears and the jacket. Diluted ink makes a lighter color, but, again, beware of too much water. I did add some Gray Granite (I think neutrals are allowed.) to a block and added just a little color to the fur. Cut this out with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes. Using the Layering Ovals pick a scallop one to make a little frame. Add a bow of Pineapple Punch with a glue dot.
The inside of the card is very plain. The saying is from Fable Friends. Add a couple strips of the watercolor paper. I hated to waste it!
Here's a video to show how to make this card.
Next on the hop is Paola. Be sure to visit her for a great project. Let's see what she does with these colors.
Thanks so much for your visit today. Come back!
