Birthday Cheer with the Stamping Around the World Blog Hop
April 18, 2019
Welcome to the Stamping Around the World Blog Hop for April. For our hop we always feature the same stamp set we used for our part of the April tutorial. I'll be using the Birthday Cheer stamp set.
For our April tutorial I featured the Birthday Cheer bundle. This bundle will be retired. It's now while supplies last, or in some markets it is already discontinued. For those of you fortunate enough to have it, I hope you will like this card.
Now that the Retiring List has been published, we know that some of the products used in my card will be going away. I'll point that out for you. As I stated above, most are while supplies last.
I used a card base of Thick Whisper White that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.
A layer of Whisper White measuring 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 was run through the Big Shot with the Oh My Stars folder. The Big Shot and the folder are both retiring. Glue this to the front of the card.
The Subtles 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, retiring, was used for the card. I used Blushing Bride, Pool Party, and Highland Heather. Cut a square using the Stitched Shapes dies from each color. Add these to the left side of the card with dimensionals. I find it easier to space if you put the two on each end and then fill in the middle. Barely push down the squares until you have them aligned and spaced well.
Cut a different cupcake from each of the colors of cardstock using the Detailed Birthday Edgelit Dies. Some fussy cutting will be required to cut them apart. Also cut the full cupcake shape from each other. Adhere the cupcake to its base. Go ahead and glue a cupcake to each dotted square.
Cut the top part of each cupcake with the corresponding dotted color. Keep all those little pieces and add them to the cupcakes for the icing.
The saying is from the Birthday Cheer stamp set. Stamp in Pool Party on Whisper White. Punch out with the 1 1/2" Circle Punch. Punch a Highland Heather circle using the 1 3/4" Circle Punch for a frame.
The candle is made using the Broadway Lights Dies, Blushing Bride paper, and Daffodil Delight cardstock.
