Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop Fable Friends
March 19, 2019
This is my first time taking part in the Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop. I'm so excited to be part of the hop!
I do have to admit, that I didn't make my project for today. My good friend and Luv 2 Create team member Jean Lovelace made this frame for me. I just felt that it needed to be shared. I hope you don't mind. Here is her beautiful frame.
First, let me say that Jean got the frame itself at Hobby Lobby. It's perfect, isn't it!
Start with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that measures 5 x 7. Use the Basket Weave Embossing Folder for this background. Since the background piece is so large, you will need to run the paper through 2 times. If you are careful, you can match the designs so that they continue across the card. The picture below shows where Jean pieced her embossing. Can you see it?
She did a great job! It's really hard to tell.
The blue letters are actually cut from Fun Foam using the Large Letters Framelits. Another set of letters was cut using Whisper White cardstock. The white letters are glued on so that there looks like a shadow behind them.
Stamp the bunny from Fable Friends in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on Whisper White paper. Color using Blends. I think Jean used Light and Dark Balmy Blue and Light and Dark Crumb Cake Blends. Glue the bunny to the side of the letter O. Add dimensionals to the back of the bunny where he sticks past the letter. Space the letters on the background as you wish and then glue.
Thank you so much, Jean! I love it! Maybe you have someone you think would like this frame. Make them one! It will put a smile on their face!
This gift is perfect from Jean. She's not only an accomplished card maker, but also a basket maker. That background is just so perfect for her. I've some projects close to this one, but Jean has put her mark on it!
Thanks for stopping by today. Please continue on the hop. You'll see some great projects.
