Thanks for joining me in a week of Flowering Desert. This stamp set can be found on page 29 of the Occasions catalog. This is my card for today.
I have started a class at a local coffee and bake shop. This is one of the cards we will be making in February. It has just a little added pizzazz, but it is still pretty simple.
The card base is Thick Whisper White. It is cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 and folded.
For this card stamp all of the shapes directly on the card base. I used Mossy Meadow, Lemon Lime Twist, and Rich Razzleberry. I love those colors with this set. I have used them a lot!
Once you have the cacti where you want them, add a 1/2 x 4 1/2 strip of the Lemon Lime Twist Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper. It's a good way to use some of your scraps!
Stamp the leafy plant and a cactus and flower on Whisper White. Cut these out and add them to the card with dimensionals. It adds that little bit of interest to the card!
Add the saying in Mossy Meadow.
This is all simple stamping using the Flowering Desert stamp set. It's a lot of fun to add funny shapes together and see how your plant grows!
So there you have it. Easy to whip up in about 15 minutes!
