Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #549. This week we are using the colors Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, and Balmy Blue.
These colors make me feel like spring! So, here is a spring filled card!
If only the outside went with this card. It's a rainy wet cold as I write this post.
Start with a card base of Lemon Lime Twist that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Fold at 4 1/4. The Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper is used here. It comes in 6 x 6. I used the Balmy Blue paper and cut it at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.
The next layer is Lemon Lime Twist again. It measures 2 7/8 x 4 5/8. The Whisper White is 2 3/4 x 4 1/2.
Use the Lemon Lime Twist Gingham Gala paper. I used the small check side. I just like it better! Cut a stem. I found it easier to just use my snips to cut this out. The leaves are made using the Sprig Punch. Cut them apart at the bottom and attach one on each side.
For the flower, punch two daisies out from the Balmy Blue Gala paper with the Daisy Punch. Use your bone folder to curl the petal of one of the flowers up and the petals of the other flower down. Use glue dots to attach the two flowers. Put the petals going up on the bottom and the petals going down on top. The center is punched for the Daffodil Delight Gala paper with the 3/4" circle punch. Add with dimensionals. Add the flower to the top of the stem with glue dots.
Run a length of the Daffodil Delight Organdy Ribbon from the Sale-a-Bration Combo Pack. I do believe this ribbon will return even though you can't get it right now. The saying is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set. Stamp in Balmy Blue on a white scrap and punch it out with the Classic Label Punch. Notch the right end and add the label over the ribbon about an inch from the left. Add a bow with a glue dot.
Add this panel with dimensionals.
Here's the inside of the card. It's simple! This saying is also from Itty Bitty Birthdays.
