Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #547 Dear Doily

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we are using Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, and Melon Mambo.

I used the Dear Doily bundle for my card.

Lots of times, when I tackle a color challenge, I start by thinking about designer series paper that we have. This time I decided I had to go with the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.

I started with a card base of Coastal Cabana that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

I used the Melon Mambo paper from the How Sweet It Is for the largest doily from the Doily Builders Thinlits Dies. I cut 2 of these. I also cut one of the larger die that is a circle border.

Cut a medium doily and 2 small ones from the Coastal Cabana designer paper.

The Gorgeous Grape paper is from the Brights 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. I cut a medium and a small doily.

Now you could have used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets when cutting out the doilies and made stickers of them all. I didn't do that, but just glued them down using a Silicone Craft mat and a sponge with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Lay the doilies down and get them where you want them to be. It's personal opinion. Adhere.

The words for this card are from the Dear Doily stamp set. The circle is punched with a 2 1/4" Circle Punch. Add with dimensionals. The other saying is trimmed and added with dimensionals.

Use all of the colors inside the card. The saying is from Dear Doily as are the doilies.

It's a cute card, isn't it! It comes together pretty quickly too!
