Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a sketch.
I've always loved green and blue together. The Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper with its bold designs of Night of Navy and Call Me Clover inspired me to make this card.
This card features the stamp set Life is Grand found on page 17 of the Occasions catalog. This stamp set could easily be overlooked in this catalog. I think it could become a favorite!
The card base is Call Me Clover cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. To add a little interest to the background of the card, stamp the dots from Bloom by Bloom in Call Me Clover randomly.
Don't you just love those rows of white daisies in the patterned paper! That piece is cut at 3 x 4. Add to the left side of the card. The large bold flowers on the green background paper measures 2 3/4 x 3. Place it in the center of the card.
Use the new Pineapple Punch Grograin Ribbon in three rows across the center of the card. I ran a few rows of my snail under where the saying will go to attach the ribbon. I chose to run the ribbon in one continuous strand, but it could be cut into three rows of ribbon.
Another item that could be overlooked in the Occasions catalog is the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. They are found on page 28 in the lower left corner. I am using these framelits a lot! The best part is that the stitching is on both sides of the cut of the framelit. I didn't really use that on this card, but wow! Stamp the saying from Life is Grand on Whisper White in Night of Navy ink. Cut out with the rectangle that most closely fits. Add some of the Call Me Clover dots from the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to dress it up! Add this panel with dimensionals.
Here's the inside of the card. The saying is from Life is Grand. Add some of the yellow enamel dots.
This card is simple, but it just has a little something something. It is cute!
Thank you for checking by my blog today. That makes me happy! Follow me on Pinterest here. I would also love for you to subscribe to my weekly newsletter at the top of my blog. My Tuesday's Timely Tidbits does have local news, but it also has pertinent Stampin' Up! news. I always put pictures of my one and only granddaughter at the end. She turned 9 months old recently! I'm not a bit biased, but she is so cute!!!
