I just love the card I have for you today. Ronda Gibson had a card on her blog and I must say she was my inspiration for most of my card. Thank you Ronda.
We are making this card in my classes this week. Start with a card base of Early Espresso measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The next layer is Pool Party cut at 4 x 5 1/4. Stamp with the Buffalo Check stamp set. I used the Stamparatus to make sure that I had great coverage.
From the center of the checked paper, cut an oval using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Add the layer to the card.
For the center part of the card, you will need an Early Espresso rectangle that is 3 x 4 1/4. The next layer is Whisper White measuring 2 7/8 x 4 1/8. Stamp the tree trunks across this layer using Crumb Cake ink. You will need to keep repeating until you have stamped all the way across. Now stamp the trees with no leaves on this background in Early Espresso. Stamp them just a little to the right of the layer. I did use the Stamparatus for this stamping.
The Vellum cardstock layer is also 2 7/8 x 4 1/8. This time stamp the trees just a little to the left of this layer by moving to the left on the Stamparatus. This may need to dry for a few minutes. When dry, add some glue to a craft silicone mat. Use a piece of a sponge to add the glue to the back of the vellum and ahere to the crumb cake layer.
Add the center part with dimensionals.
For the tag, use the check cut out. Run some Linen Thread around 2 times and tape to the back. Add a Linen Thread bow with a rolled up glue dot. Stamp the Hello from the Varied Vases stamp set on Crumb Cake. Stamp in Early Espresso. Punch out with the 1" Circle Punch.
Inside, just add the trees in Early Espresso.
This card reminds me of a warm blanket on a winter night. Just snuggle!
