Tin Tile Again with a Couple Butterflies

When I saw the Black/Silver Striped Metallic Ribbon, I instantly thought of our Silver Foil.  Yes, that ribbon is part of the Classic Garage Suite.  Isn't it wonderful that our products can be used in lots of ways.  Anyway, here is the card for today.

It's really hard to get a great picture with all that shine.  

The card base is Basic Black card stock cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The next layer is Whisper White.  It is 3 3/4 x 5.  The Silver Foil measures 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.  Run this through the Big Shot with the Tin Tile Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder.  I'm so glad this folder will carry over, aren't you!  It's so pretty.  You will be happier with your impression if you take the time to center your paper so that the design works up and down and sideways.

Run the Black/Silver Striped Metallic Ribbon across the card and tape on the back.  I used my bow maker to make a double bow from the same ribbon.

Stamp the work friend in Memento Black on a piece of Whisper White.  Cut this out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies circle with the word near the top of the circle.  

For the butterflies, use the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.  This paper can be yours for free as part of the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  Sale-a-Bration begins on January 3rd.  Here in the USA, you can earn free product for every $50 you spend.  Use the Butterfly Duet Punch to punch butterflies from the patterned paper.  Add the butterflies with glue dots.  Add the circle to the card with dimensionals.

Add the bow with a glue dot.

The saying inside the card is from the Needle & Thread stamp set.  Punch another butterfly and glue it down.

Don't you love that ribbon with the silver foil?  I think they are made for each other.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop for December Sneak Peek!

It's almost time for the new Occasions Catalog to begin.  Right along side it will be the Sale-a-Bration Brochure!  These are both live on January 3rd.  Today you get a Sneak Peek at some of the products coming!  New catalog time is so exciting!  Here is my card for today!

The Needlepoint Nook Suite can be found on pages 38 and 39 in the Occasions catalog.  You will love it!  I'm using the Needle & Thread stamp set and the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies.

Let's talk first about the dotted images that you see on my Thick Whisper White card stock base.  Oh My Goodness!  This image is part of the framelits dies.  I ran it through the Big Shot twice, once at the top and a little to the right and once at the bottom and a little to the left.  I am so in love with this!  I love it on white!

The saying is on another feature of the framelits from this set.  Isn't it cute!  The saying is from the Needle & Thread set.  I stamped it in Fresh Fig.  I added it to the card with snail down the center.  You can see that I have some items poke out from under the saying and some on the top.  Think about that when adhereing.

The leaf features are from Old Olive card stock.  I tried to leave the cut outs in some of the leaves.  These all stick out from under the saying or flowers.  There is one stamp with leaves.  Stamp in Old Olive on Whisper White.  There is room there to stick in the largest flower.  Instead I just cut that apart and added some from the top and some from the bottom.

The flowers are stamped in Fresh Fig, Pool Party, and Blushing Bride on Whisper White.  The three small flowers can be cut out all at one time using the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies.  I love that feature!  The detail on these flower stamps is fantastic!

To finish off the card add some of the Old Olive Linen Thread.  Yes, you are going to want this!

The saying on the inside is part of the Needle & Thread stamp set.  I had flowers left over, so I added them.  Why not!  I always finish off the inside of the card.

There is just a loveliness to this card I just can't quite discribe.  If I didn't feel well, it would make me smile!

A Sprig Punch Merry Christmas

Christmas is almost here!  This is my last Christmas post.   Beginning tomorrow, I'll be sharing cards made with our new Occasions catalog items and the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  You are going to love these catalogs.  I'm getting ahead of myself.  Let's get back to that last Christmas card.

Do you find that you think you have it all done, and then, yes, you need more Christmas cards?  Time is short and there is so much to do!  This is the card for you.  It's just so easy to punch.  The Sprig Punch is on back order right now, but it will be back!  You know, you can decorate a wreath in so many ways all through the year!

Start with a card base of Cherry Cobbler measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The next layer is Mossy Meadow cut at 4 3/4 x 5.  The wood panel paper is from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.  It measures 4 5/8 x 4 7/8.

The saying at the botttom is from the Timeless Tidings stamp set.  I used the Stamparatus for this just to make sure that the coverage was perfect.  Use Cherry Cobbler ink.

Punch the leaves using the Sprig Punch and Mossy Meadow card stock.  I used 8 sprigs for this wreath.  I attached the sprigs with a glue dot.  Attach the first sprig.  Now add another.  I tried to add this sprig into the first so that you can't really see the end of the sprig.  Continue in a circular pattern.

The bird is cut using the Birds & Blooms Thinlits Dies.  Cut from the Cherry Cobbler check from the Festive Farmhouse paper.  I love that bird so much!  Attach with dimensionals.

The saying on the inside of the card is from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set.  Add another sprig.  The cobbler berries are punched out using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.

Spirited Snowmen and the Large Letter Framelits

My post is late today.  Can I blame it on the Hallmark channel?  I usually try to work ahead.  This morning I woke up and realized I didn't have my post written up for today.  That's very unusual for me.  In fact, that's never happened!  It's Christmas time.  There are just so many things to do.  I haven't felt well for about a month.  Is that enough excuses?  Let's get this written!

First of all, let me say that this card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Gillian Whitcome.  I love her card!  I have enjoyed working with the Spirited Snowmen stamp set.  I will be sad to see it go since it is on the Retiring List.  You can still get it, but I wouldn't wait long.

The card base is Highland Heather measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper was used as the next layer.  It is cut at 4 x 5 1/4.  Run this through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and glue to the card base.

The Large Letter Framelits are used to make the word SNOW.  I did use a sheet of the fun foam found in a craft store.  I used another sheet from the Festive Farmhouse paper for the letters.  I thought the stars looked so cute.  I used a 2 inch strip of the paper, foam, and adhesive sheets.  Adhere the patterned paper to the fun foam.  Adhere the fun foam to our Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets.  Cut out the letters.  Make sure you know where you want to put each letter.  Peal off the backing from the adhesive sheet and you are ready to attach the letters to the card.  

Of course you'll need to make your snowman before you attach the O.  Stamp with Memento Black on Whisper White.  I used the Dark Highland Heather, Dark Mint Macaron, Dark Pumpkin Pie, and the Dark Crumb Cake Blends to color him.  Fussy cut.  Figure out just where you want him.  I have him peeking out from the O and spilling out a little over the N.  Attach him with glue and with dimensionals.

The bow is made using a 10 inch piece of the Mint Macaron twine from the Nature's Twine pack.  I pulled the strands apart and then tied them in a bow.  Attach with a glue dot.

To finish off the card, add a few snowflakes made using the Blizzard Thinlits and some white scrap.  If you want, use the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets for the snowflakes, too.

Here's the inside of the card.  I used Beautiful Blizzard for this.  The saying is just so wonderful.  This stamp set and the Blizzard Thinlits are also retiring.  The saying is in Gorgeous Grape and the snowflakes are in Highland Heather.  I made this card for the winter.  It would be great for January or February to lift someone's spirits!

A Floral Frames Hello

The Floral Frames bundle is on page 135 of the Annual Catalog.  The Floral Frames stamp set works with the Foliage Frame Framelits.  I really love that there are 2 of the framelits for a lot of the leaves.  It helps to make the card faster!  Here is the card that we have for today.

The card base is Calypso Coral measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.

The Whisper White layer is 3 3/4 x 5.  The next layer is from the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper.  It measures 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.  Stamp the little leaf sprig randomly on this wood look layer.  Use Soft Suede ink.  This will add some interest to the background.

Cut three squares using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  If you want to save paper, cut these from the white layer under the wood paper.  Add these with dimensionals.  Add each end and then center the last square between the two.  Notice that there are a couple squares that have the Mossy Meadow leaves coming out from under the squares.

Stamp the flowers in Memento Black on Whisper White scrap.  Color these with the Light and Dark Calypso Coral Blends.  I used two of the three-flower groupings and one of the two-petal groups.  There's another two-petal group inside.  Cut out two each of the other leaves in Old Olive.  Glue on the flowers and leaves.

The Hello is part of the Floral Frames stamp set.  Stamp in Calypso Coral on white scrap and fussy cut.  Add to the card with dimensionals.

The saying on the inside is from the same stamp set.  Add the flowers and a leaf cluster.

This card is great for any occasion.  Enjoy!
