Needle & Thread in Grapefruit Grove
December 26, 2018
Last week I shared a card made using the Needle & Thread bundle. You can find that post here. My card for today is actually the first card I made using this bundle. I was trying to make something a little brighter, but I just have to admit that I'm not a fan of orange. I do like Grapefruit Grove, or maybe I should say that it is growing on me. I've decided to share this card because everyone does not think like me. Maybe there is someone who will love this one. Here is the card.
This card starts with a card base of Grapefruit Grove measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.
Using the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies run the large stitching dies through the Big Shot two times. The first time it is near the top right and the second time, it is near the bottom left. This stitching is so beautiful!
The Whisper White label is also part of the Needlepoint Elements dies. Stamp it first in Highland Heather. The saying is from the Needle & Thread stamp set. Now cut out the label with the die.
Add 4 little pieces of the Lemon Lime Twist Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack, found in the Sale-a-Bration brochure, at each end. I taped them from the back.
Add the label with dimensionals.
Stamp the flowers from the set in Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist and Grapefruit Grove and cut them out with the dies. The three small flowers are cut out with the same die. That makes the work a little easier.
Cut more leaves from Lemon Lime card stock. Arrange the leaves and flowers in a pleasing manner. A few flowers are added with dimensionals.
Here is the inside of my card. The saying is from the Needle & Thread stamp set. Add some of your left over leaves and flowers in the corner.
It is a pretty card. Now look at the two below and tell me which one you like best! I would love to hear from you!
