Hey, Love It's a Gorilla!

Have you seen the new Valentine stamp set called Hey Love? It's on page 8 of the new Occasions catalog. It is so cute!

Today I have three cards for you. At our OnStage in Orlando in November, Stampin' Up! talked about three kinds of stampers. One of these just might describe you. They are the beginner, the occasional stamper, and the avid stamper. I have a gorilla card for each kind of stamper.

This card is for the beginning stamper. It is stamped on one of the Note Cards & Envelopes. This is a great value. The 20 note cards are ready for use and envelopes come with them. They are a little smaller than the regular card. These are 3 1/2 x 5. For this card, stamp the gorilla in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Color with Blends. I used the Light and Dark Smoky Slate, the Light Real Red, and the Light Petal Pink. I did glue down a piece of Whisper White to the inside of the flap. It measures 3 3/8 x 4 7/8. The Blends bleed through the card stock. This layer hides that!

Stamp the APE saying in Smoky Slate over the card and around the gorilla. Stampe the valentine saying in Real Red.

This card is for the occasional stamper. This stamper has stamped a while and has some supplies. They love stamping and have a little bit of a collection.

This card is also on the Note Cards & Envelopes. Use a piece of Tropical Escape 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to cover the card. It is cut at 3 3/8 x 4 7/8.

Stamp the gorilla on a piece of Whisper White and color with Blends as above. Cut this out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Add some of the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon from the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack behind the circle. That's one of the choices from Sale-a-Bration when you spend $50. (Begins January 3rd) Add the circle with dimensionals.

Stamp the saying on a piece of Whisper White scrap and punch out with the Classic Label punch. Add to the card.

This card is for the avid stamper. That's me for sure! This stamper loves to stamp! They might even stamp every day! They get all excited when new catalogs come out and they WANT IT ALL! I have been accused of being a little of a fanatic, maybe even more than a little!

This note card has a different patterned paper from the Tropical Escape paper. It's also 3 3/8 x 4 7/8 and is black and white.

Add a length of the Lemon Lime Twist organdy ribbon starting behind where the gorilla will go and going all around the card and back to the starting point. Tape in place. Make a bow to add later. I use a bow maker and made a double bow.

Stamp the gorilla on Whisper White and color with the Blends. Fussy cut and add to the card with dimensionals.

Other pieces of the Tropical Escaper paper can be cut out with the Tropical Thinlits. I dut out 3 of the thin frond ferns and glued them to the card. There are 5 of the fatter leaves. Add these around the gorilla with dimensionals.

Add the bow.

The saying is stamped in Real Red on white scrap. Cut around and add to the card.
