Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #540 First Frost
December 13, 2018
Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #540. This week we have a sketch!
I decided to use the First Frost bundle. It comes with the stamp set and the Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies. The good news is that the set and dies will carry over into the new year. The bundle price at a savings of 10% will only be available until January 2nd. Here is my card.
That designer paper along with the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder look so great together. The paper is called Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper has a beautiful frosted sheen to it. Beautiful!
Start with a card base of Thick Whisper White that is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.
The specialty paper is cut at 3 1/2 x 5. I used the Gray Granite piece.
We'll need two pieces of Whisper White card stock. One measures 1 1/2 x 4 1/4 and the other is cut at 1/2 x 4 1/4. Run these through the Tin Tile embossing folder. Pay attention to the placement of the paper so that the design appears centered.
The small piece is attached to the left of the designer paper and then both papers are adhered to the card base. Add the other tin tile rectangle to the right side of the front of the card.
The saying is from the First Frost stamp set. Stamp it in Gray Granite ink on Whisper White. Cut this out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Add to the card with dimensionals.
The flower from First Frost is stamped on Whisper White in Merry Merlot. The stem is stamped in Shaded Spruce. Cut both of these out with the Frosted Bouquet Framelits. Add to the card. For this you will need some glue and some dimensionals. I used the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
The saying on the inside of the card is from the Timeless Tidings stamp set. Add another flower.
This is a lovely Christmas card, but this card could be for any occasion from birthday to sympathy.
I hope you enjoyed my card today. There is just something about white and the TinTile Dynamic Embossing Folder. It's gorgeous together. This is a very elegant card.
