Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we are using the colors Cherry Cobbler, Gray Granite, and Mossy Meadow.
Do you ever have scraps? This is an easy way to use some of them.
Start with a card base of Mossy Meadow that measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and is folded at 4 1/4. The next layer is Cherry Cobbler cut at 3 3/4 x 5. Finally, the Festive Farmhouse DSP star layer is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.
Cut lengths of the Mossy Meadow * paper. They are 1/2 inch wide. The lengths are 3, 2 1/2, 2, 1 1/2, 1, 1/2, and 1/4. Cut a piece of the Mossy Meadow stripe for the trunk. Glue these to the card. Mine are all straight. You can also angle these alternately down the tree. I'll share a pic a little later.
Using the Twinkle Builder Punch, add stars to the card in Cherry Cobbler. To make these a little more festive, I painted them with my Wink of Stella.
The saying is from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set. Stamp in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White and trim with your snips. Add with dimensionals. It does not really show in the pictures, but I did add Wink of Stella to the words.
This is the inside of the card. This saying is also from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set. Add a few more stars.
So, use up some scraps! I think this card is pretty cute!
This picture shows the card with the tree limbs angled. Note, this card uses Real Red instead of our Cherry Cobbler for the challenge. I used the Red Rhinestones for embellishment.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you'll look at all of the samples using Cherry Cobbler, Gray Granite, and Mossy Meadow.
I would love for you for you to sign up for my newsletter! My newsletter goes out every Tuesday.
