Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #538 Spirited Snowmen
November 29, 2018
Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #538. This week we have a sketch for you.
I used the Spirited Snowmen stamp set for this challenge. Here is my card.
Don't you just love those snowmen in the stamp set! I do!
Start with a card base of Tranquil Tide 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.
I've used several different kinds of designer paper for this card. The largest piece is from the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper is no longer available. It measures 3 1/4 x 5. The Crumb Cake stripe is from the Neutrals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. It is cut at 3/4 x 3 1/2. The dotted paper is from the 2017-2019 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper and measures 3/4 x 4. I've said this before, but it is so helpful to use our Grid Paper to help adhere these small strips straight.
For the focal point, stamp the snowman in Memento Black on Whisper White. Add some Crumb Cake snowflakes around the snowman. I used the Tranquil Tide marker and the Light Crumb Cake Blend to color in the snowman. I also added a little Crumb Cake under him to make a little ground or shadow. Use the Layering Circles to cut out the snowman and to make the scallop Tranquil Tide frame for underneath. Add to the card with dimentionals.
The inside of the card is all from the Spirited Snowmen stamp set. I love that saying!
This is a pretty simple card to make. I hope you try it.
I would love to be your demonstrator if you don't already have one. It would be an honor to serve you. Follow me on Pinterest here.
