Create with Connie and Mary #534 Winter Woods

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #534. Today we have a sketch.

I have a fall card today using the Winter Woods stamp set and the Regals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.

The card base for this card is Thick Very Vanilla measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Score and fold at 4 1/4.

The Crushed Curry from the Regals Designer Series Paper is cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, the same size as the card front. Adhere. The Cajun Craze layer is 3 1/2 x 4 3/4. Add this layer a little askew. The Garden Green layer is 3 1/4 x 4 1/2. This layer is straight on the card.

Stamp the trees from the Winter Woods stamp set in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla. Color in little sections on the trees with Watercolor Pencils. I used Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, and Garden Green. Go over the colors with a Blender Pen. I would do all of one color and clean the tip of the Blender Pen and then change to another color. Do the same with the ground. Some of these colors are part of the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2. That assortment was available for a short time. There are rumors that it will show up again some time. Cut the trees out with the Layering Circles Framelits. Add to the center of the card with dimensionals.

The saying is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set on page 46 from the annual catalog. Trim to 1/4" wide and notch on the ends. Add to the circle at an angle.

The leaves are in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze card stock. Use the Flourish Thinlits for the leaves.

The inside of the card has a saying from the Beautiful Promenade stamped in Garden Green. Add another leaf in Crushed Curry. I had a 1/2" strip of Cajun Craze, so I added it to the card, too.

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love those colors together. I really love the 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper that comes in Brights, Regals, Subtles, and Neutrals. Just look how cute they are!
