A Dashing Deer Christmas Card
November 30, 2018
Hello! So today is the last day of November. Can you believe it? I have a Christmas card for you.
I just love the Dashing Deer Bundle. I'm pretty sure that this one will carry over until next year! That deer is simply beautiful!
Start with a card base of Shaded Spruce. It measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and is folded at 4 1/4.
Cut another piece of Shaded Spruce that is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. Run this through the Big Shot with the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder. Attach to the front of the card.
The Real Red rectangle measures 2 1/2 x 3 3/4. The Whisper White one is 2 3/8 x 3 5/8.
I used the Stamparatus to stamp the deer. I wanted to be sure to have a good dark solid image. Stamp in Early Espresso and cut out with the Detailed Deer Thinlits.
Turn the deer over and add dimensionals. I did use the Mini Dimensionals. Wrap the Gold Metallic Thread around 4 fingers about 6 times and slip off. Add to the dimensionals on the back of the deer. Rearrange a little if needed and then add to the card.
Add Red Rhinestones to the nose and neck of the deer.
The saying is from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set. Stamp with Real Red on a thin slice of Whisper White and notch the ends. Add across the deer.
I also used the Stamparatus to stamp the inside of the card. It helps to avoid those edges you might get when stamping, and the deer are dark and solid. The Stamparatus is just a blessing.
This makes a lovely card, I think.
Thanks for spending time with me today. Have you subscribed to my newsletter? It comes out every Tuesday and will keep you up on all the Stampin' Up! happenings! Thanks so much.
