A First Frost Christmas Card

I just got the First Frost Bundle and I am loving it.  I told myself I didn't need this set, but every time I glanced through the Holiday catalog, I just had to stop and wish and ponder.  These stamps are so pretty.  I've made several cards now that I'll be sharing over the next few days or so.  

Today's card is perfect for the Christmas season.  

The card base is Cherry Cobbler cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and scored and folded at 4 1/4.

The next layer is Very Vanilla measuring 3 3/4 x 5.  The Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.

The saying is from the First Frost stamp set.  Stamp on Very Vanilla card stock in Cherry Cobbler.  Cut out with the smaller frame in the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.  Add to the center of the card with dimensionals.

The tall leaf stalks are stamped in Old Olive on vanilla paper.  Stamp three of them and cut out with the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.  Place one on each side of the saying.  For the third, cut the leaves at the top and bottom and add them so that they stick out of the top and bottom of the saying.  Of course, if you want to make life a little more simple, place the middle stalk of leaves on the card before you adhere the saying.  I don't always make my life simple if you know what I mean.

Cut the little branches from Basic Black using the Frosted Bouquet Framelits.  I used 2 of them.

The flowers are stamped on vanilla in Cherry Cobbler.  There are two large ones and 3 small.  Add with dimensionals around the sayings.

The saying for the inside of the card is from Timeless Tidings stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  Stamp the stalk in Old Olive and add a few of the small flowers in cobbler.  Glue down a black branch.

It's so easy to make a card with this bundle that looks like it was hard.  I hope that makes sense!  In other words, you just might need this bundle!

Wishing You Well

I bought the Wishing You Well stamp set for that bow!  I love it!  Funny thing.  I didn't use that bow on my card.  Guess I'll just have to stamp something else.  Here is my card for today.

This card has lots of layers.  Start with a card base of Gorgeous Grape measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4.  The Highland Heather layer is 3 3/4 x 5.  Next is a layer of Granny Apple Green.  It is cut at 2 7/8 x 4 1/8.  The next layer is Gorgeous Grape measuring 2 3/4 x 4.

The Whisper White layer in the center is 2 1/2 x 3 3/4.  Stamp the bouquet in Granny Apple Green.  Stamp the flowers in Gorgeous Grape.  Stamp again without inking.

The Gorgeous Grape 1/4" Mini Striped Ribbon is perfect for this card.  That's why I didn't use the bow stamp.

The saying is from the Wishing You Well set stamped in grape.

The Metallic Pearls are added to this layer, too.

For the inside, stamp the flowers to decorate.

This is a super simple card to make with a lot of punch!  I think you could assemble all the parts in about 10 minutes!

Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge with Country Lane Designer Series Paper

It's the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge again! This week we have a sketch.

I used the Country Lane Designer Series Paper for lots of elements of this card.

Start with a card base of Fresh Fig measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.  Fresh Fig was not listed as a color for this pack of paper.  It listed Blackberry Bliss.  I thought the Fresh Fig looked good with it.

The lined paper is cut at 4 x 5 1/4.  The Crushed Curry designed paper is cut at 3 x 4.  The Blackberry Bliss dotted paper measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/2.  The dotted paper is attached with dimensionals.

Using the Layering Ovals Framelits, cut three ovals from Whisper White card stock.  Run these ovals through the Swirls & Curls embossing folder.  Glue these together so that they form a pumpkin shape with the center oval on top.  The other two ovals would be behind and to the side.  The stem of the pumpkin is punched from the moon on the Twinkle Builder punch.

Use the Detailed Leaves Thinlits Dies to cut the leaves from the Crushed Curry paper.  Glue this behind the pumpkin.  I did cut one of the leaves apart from the stem so I could place it where I wanted it.  Attach the pumpkin with dimensionals.

Stamp "Thankful" from the Falling for Leaves stamp set on a 1/2 inch strip of the Crushed Curry designed paper.  Use Fresh fig.  Put a dimensional on the left and tape the right of this strip.

Add a bow using the Linen Thread.

The saying on the inside of the card is from Falling for Leaves and is stamped in Fresh Fig.  Cut another leaf stem from the Crushed Curry and glue on the inside.

I love the Fresh Fig and Crushed Curry together.  I don't think I've used this combination before.

Spirited Snowmen Class To Go!

Today I'm announcing my first ever class to go!  I'm so excited about this.  The cards are so cute!   Here's a little teaser for you.

This is a class of 3 cards featuring the Spirited Snowmen stamp set.  The card kits contain supplies for 2 each of the three designs.  Two of the cards also use the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper!  I love that paper!  Another card has an embossed background using the Blizzard Thinlits and the Embossing Mats.  I know you'll want these!

Class consists of 3 designs using the Spirited Snowmen stamp set on page 38 of the Holiday Catalog.

 

Option 1

PDF of the designs + a video emailed to you. Cost $10.

 

Option 2

PDF of the designs + a video emailed to you + card kits to make 2 of each design for a total of 6 cards. Kits contain cut items from dies, embossed items, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper items, and all card stock needed. As per Stampin’ Up!, I cannot send stamped images. Other images could be substituted. Cost $25.

 

Option 3

Get it all! PDF of the designs + a video emailed to you + card kits to make 2 of each design for a total of 6 cards. Kits contain cut items from dies, embossed items, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper items, and all card stock needed. As per Stampin’ Up!, I cannot send stamped images. The Spirited Snowmen stamp set, clear mount #148072 + a pack of Stampin’ Dimensionals will be included. Cost is $45. Shipping is included. US only for this option. The #148075 Spirited Snowmen stamp set, wood mount can be substituted with a total cost of $53 and still includes the Stampin’ Dimensionals.

 

These designs can be used with a class. I would appreciate acknowledgement as designer. However, the PDF and video cannot be shared.

This card was stamped by Cindy.  I haven't used the Foxy Friends stamp set.  This set is retired.  The sentiment is framed by a box from the Swirly Frames stamp set.  Alert!  I am wrong.  Foxy Friends is NOT retired!  I looked through my book 2 times and I guess I skipped over it.  It's on page 86 of the annual catalog.  Sorry!

This card was made by Debbie.  She made it in honor of Breast Cancer Month.  It uses lots of products from past and present.  It's a fold out card.  Here's the inside.

This card was made by Kaye.  I love all the white and that punch of color!  Kaye used the Tropical Chic bundle for this card.  She embossed the sentiment in gold.

This card was made by Patti.  She used the At Home with You stamp set from the annual catalog.  The Basket Weave Embossing Folder adds so much.  Patti also used the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper.

This card was made by Tina.  I believe her technique is the drapery fold.  It's just beautiful with that paper!  I believe that it's the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.

Twila made this card.  Isn't it lovely!  Twila was very excited that she designed her card by herself and rightly so!  She used the stamp set Pleasant Pheasants from the Holiday Catalog.  The sentiment is from the Falling for Leaves stamp set.  I love the use of the Delicate Lace Edgelits on this card!
