Christmas Gift Card Holder

CCMC#530 Animal Outing

Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week we have a sketch.

CCMC530

I needed a birthday card for a little boy this week.  Here is the card I made.

CCMC #530 Animal Outing by Jo Anne Hewins

Start with a card base of Basic Gray cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and fold at 4 1/4.

The patterned paper is from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper.  It's cut at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  The star paper is from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.  It is 3 1/4 x 4.  The Whisper White piece is 2 1/4 x 4 3/4.

Stamp with the Gallery Grunge stamp set over the white piece randomly.  I used Basic Gray stamped off.

Now cut out animals from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper and glue them where you wish.

The saying is from the Animal Outing stamp set.  Stamp in Basic Gray on a white scrap.  Fussy cut the words with your snips.  Add a few leaves sticking out from the back.

On the inside, the saying is from Perennial Birthday.  Stamp in Basic Gray.  Add another animal inside.

This is such a cute and easy card!

How fun is this!!! WONDERFUL use of all that designer paper! Love it!!!

Sharon Burkert

You are a master fussy cutter! So cute!

Jo Anne Hewins

Thanks, Jenny. I do tend to buy designer paper and then hate to cut it! I thought it turned out well.

Jo Anne Hewins

Thank you, Sharon. Sometimes when I get started it's hard to stop!

What a cute jungle themed card! Using the DSP instead of the stamps is a great use of that paper we all hoard.

Jo Anne Hewins

Yes, I do tend to hoard my designer paper. Thanks for the kind comments.
