Falling For Leaves
September 19, 2018
I just got the Falling for Leaves bundle and I must say I just might be in love! The Falling for Leaves stamp set and the Detailed Leaves Thinlits are so cute. I love the leaf cutouts! Here is my card using this bundle.
Start with a card base of Blackberry Bliss that measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded at 4 1/4. The Grapefruit Grove layer is 3 3/4 x 5. The patterned paper is from the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper pack. It is cut at 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.
Use the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut a white oval and a scalloped frame of Blackberry Bliss. Glue these to each other. Cut a solid leaf from Grapefruit Grove. The detailed leaf is cut from Blackberry Bliss. Adhere the two and glue to the ovals. Add this layer to the center of the card with dimensionals.
Use the Nature's Twine for the bow. I used the Blackberry Bliss. Pull the stands apart. Then tie all of the stands into a bow. I think that the twine lays flatter on the card this way. Add with a glue dot.
The sentiment is part of the Falling for Leaves stamp set. Stamp in Blackberry Bliss on a 1/2 inch white scrap. Notch the ends using the Banner Triple punch. Glue to the card.
The inside of the card is stamped in Blackberry Bliss with a saying from the Falling for Leaves stamp set. The leaves in the corner are stamped in Grapefruit Grove and Blackberry.
I tried this card using a different piece of patterned paper from the Nature's Poem pack and different card stock. Which one do you like best?
