Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge #528 Making Christmas Bright

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week we have a sketch.

CCMC528

I decided to go Christmas using the Making Christmas Bright bundle.  The Making Christmas Bright stamp set and coordinating Christmas Bulb Builder Punch are going to be very popular!  Here's my card.

Did you see that designer paper?  It was FREE!  During September the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper is free with an order of $250 before shipping and tax.  You get 4 sheets each of three double sided prints.

For this card, start with a card base of Thick Whisper White.  This is cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  Score at 4 1/4 and fold.  Use your Bone Folder to get a good crease.

The Cherry Cobbler paper measures 3 1/2 x 4.  The Garden Green piece is 1 1/4 x 3 1/2.  Place as shown in the picture.

Use the Layering Circles Framelits to cut a Whisper White circle and a scalloped Garden Green circle to use as a frame.  Before adhereing the two, put down the Garden Green Baker's Twine.  I did tape this twine to the back.  I also added a few rolled up glue dots to hold the twine.  I put these where I planned on placing a bulb so it would be hidden.  Add the circles to the card with dimensionals.

I used the bulb stamp from the Making Everyday Bright stamp set.  Stamp the ends of the bulbs in Gray Granite on the same color card stock.  I used a piece of card stock that was about 1/2 inch wide.  Punch.

Stamp the bulbs in Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, and Pacific Point.  Punch these out.  Glue the bulb ends to the bulbs.  Add mini-dimensionals to the back and add to the card.

The saying is from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set.  Stamp on a scrap piece of paper and cut the words apart.  Add with dimensionals.

Here's the inside of the card.  I love it!  The saying is from the Making Christmas Bright set.  In fact, everything comes from that stamp set.  Stamp the saying and then stamp the wire in Gray Granite under it.  Make the bulbs as above.  Then use them to finish the saying.

Yes, it seems so early now, but Christmas will be here before we know it.  Isn't that always the way!  You need to get started on those cards!  I'd be happy to help you with any supplies that you need.  Go to my online store here.  Don't forget that you'll get the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper for free with a $250 order.  For any orders of $50 or more before shipping and tax, I'll also send you a package of the Pearlized Doilies.  These will come separately from me.  There's more!  Go to the top of my post and click on Incentive Program to see all the details on how you can earn even more!
