It's Thursday and you know what that means. It's the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a sketch.
I wanted to use the new Dashing Deer Bundle. It's a Christmas must have.
I love this! Begin with a card base of Thick Whisper White measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Score and fold at 4 1/4. I next cut a layer of Whisper White 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and ran it through the Big Shot with the new Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder. Glue this to the front of the card. For some reason I wanted it to cover the entire front of the card.
The patterned paper used for this card is from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper. If you love plaids, you must get this paper! The two vertical pieces measure 1 x 3 3/4. The Cherry Cobbler Check piece is 2 1/2 x 4 and the white wood like piece is 2 1/4 x 3 3/4. For the white piece, stamp two of the deer in Gray Granite. I used the Stamperatus for this to make sure that they are stamped good and solid. Use the Dashing Deer stamp set.
The large deer is stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I then cleaned my stamp and stamped in Versamark. For this you must use the Stamparatus. Cover in Clear Emboss Powder and melt with the Heat Tool. I tried this on another card here. I just thought it looked so good. It looks so shiny and rich. Cut out with the Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies and add with dimensionals. don't forget that you can get the Dashing Deer stamp set and the Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies together as a bundle and save 10%!
Add a Copper Trim bow with a glue dot to the deer's neck.
The snowflakes are made from Copper Foil Sheets. Use the Blizzard Thinlits Die. I just cut the paper and placed it under the snowflakes I wanted for the project. I used 3 of them.
Here's the inside of the card. It's all from the Dashing Deer stamp set.
