Country Home and Hello Holiday Catalog!

Oh Happy Day!  The new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog is live today!  Have you seen it?  It is filled with so many wonderful things to make our holiday season great.  If only I could have it all!  Just in case, here's a picture of the catalog.  If you don't have one, I would be glad to send you one if you don't already have a SU demonstrator.

Today I would like to share a card with you that uses the Country Home stamp set.  It's so neat, especially if you like to color!  Here's the card.

There's several new items here.  The Country Lane Suite and be found on pages 42 and 43.  My favorites are the Galvanized Metallic Paper, the Braided Linen Trim, and The Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Well, everything is the suite is wonderful.

For this card, start with a card base of Smoky Slate 4 1/4 x 11 and scored and folded at 5 1/2.

Cut a piece of the Galvanized Metallic Paper 2 1/2 x 5.  Run this through the Big Shot with the new Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder.  Next, take a Stazon Black pad and simply run it over the paper until you have the effect you want.  You might want to dry this a little with the Heal Tool or allow to dry on its own.  The effect will differ according to the side you ink.  Here's examples.

You will add a backing to this paper in Basic Black measuring 2 5/8 x 5 1/8.  Add to the left side of the card.

On Whisper White, stamp the pitcher and the floral piece on top of it in Memento Black.  Color in using Blends.  I must say that I had a hard time telling what some of the florals were supposed to be.  I just colored it the way I wanted.  I used Light and Dark Mango Melody, Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler, Light and Dark Soft Suede, Light and Dark Granny Apple Green, and Dark Old Olive.  Cut this out with the largest circle from the Layering Circles Framelits.  Add to the card with dimensionals.

The saying is from Healing Hugs.  Stamp in Smoky Slate.  Use the Stitched Labels Thinlits to cut out the label.  Add with dimensionals pulling through some of the Cherry Cobbler Twine from the Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine.  Add the bow with glue dots.

For the inside, the saying here is also from Healing Hugs.  Add  the pitcher and color with the Light and Dark Mango Melody Blends.  Did I mention that there are new Blends colors in the Holiday catalog?  There are six new colors!  Find all the Blends here in my online store.

This is my first card with this suite, but it won't be my last.  I just might be addicted!!!

After looking at this card, I began to wonder why I used the Smoky Slate as the card base.  I made the card again using Mango as the card base.
