Buffalo Check Painted Harvest Note Cards & Envelopes

The Note Cards & Envelopes on page 193 of the Annual Catalog are one of the best deals!  You get 20 of the cards measuring 3 1/2 x 5 and envelopes!   The cost is only $6.50.  I use these so much!  Here' what I made.

Doesn't that just make you think about fall.  I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a little fall weather!

The background for this card is the new Buffalo Check background stamp.  It's on page 38 of the Holiday catalog.  I think it's easy to miss.  I used it for another card here.  If you want to see the Buffalo Check with the Painted Harvest go here.  I recommend using the Stamparatus to stamp this background.  I did have some trouble making sure it was stamped well.  I did stamp each several times.  I think a little extra pressure helped.  Use Soft Suede to stamp.  The picture above looks like I used 2 different browns.  I did not.   It's just the light.

You can see that I have three styles for this card.  I had three purposes.  They all work.  One was for a RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) group that I'm in, one for shut-ins at church and a few other friends, and one for some thank yous.

I used Painted Harvest for this card.  For the flower, I used the Stamparatus.  First, make a template.  For this, get a rectangle piece of paper that will fit in the corner.  Cut the Stitched Shapes Framelits circle from the center.  Now cut a bunch of the circles from Whisper White.  Set up the flower on the Stamparatus so that it is over the circle on the template.  I put the larger flower on one plate and the smaller more detailed on another.  Turn one of the plates over and add the center.  Make sure it all lines up to stamp the flower.  The larger flower was stamped in So Saffron, the smaller flower with Crushed Curry, and the center with Soft Suede.  Just stamp and replace with another blank circle.  I went back and stamped the dots in the center later after I was done with the Stamparatus.   Using blanks like this really saves time.  I made 36 of these cards!

The leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green on the same color card stock.  Punch these out with the Leaf Punch.  Each card got 3 leaves.

The sentiments on the front were from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.  This set packs a punch because it has something for everything you need!  Stamp in Soft Suede and then punch with the Classic Label Punch.  I tried making a template for the Stamparatus for this, too, with the blanks.  It works, but honestly, I think it's just as fast to stamp and punch.

The bow is Crushed Curry Twine.  Yes, it is retired.  It was perfect and I needed to use it up.  One of the cards in the picture has the Whisper White Solid Twine colored with the Granny Apple Green Dark Blend.  That works well.

The sentiments on the inside of the cards vary.  One is from the Painted Harvest set, one from the Hanging Garden stamp set, and the other is from the Itty Bitty Greetings.

Here's a close up of one of the cards.  The sentiments did not all end up in the same place because my leaves didn't end up the same of each card.  Whatever works, right!

Really like the Buffalo Check stamp when we used it in card class last week. It can be used at any time of the year! Will use my bonus dollars and order it; good looking note cards-nothing is more cheerful than sunflowers
