Healing Hugs in TinTile
August 20, 2018
I love embossing folders! They make it so easy to make a big change in a card. It's amazing how a little texture makes such a difference. The new Holiday catalog has three new embossing folders and they are fantastic! Last week I shared a card using the new Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder. You can see that here. Today I'm using the new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love it! Here's my card.
My last post is raving about the Healing Hugs stamp set. You can see that card here. I love this set!
For this card start with a base of Thick Very Vanilla cut at 4 1/4 x 11. Score this at 5 1/2 and fold. Cut a piece of Very Vanilla 4 x 5 1/4. Run this card stock through the Big Shot with the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder. Now there a several things you need to know to use this folder. First, the new embossing folders have a line on the front near the bottom. You can use this line to line up the card stock and make sure it is straight. Second, line the card stock side to side also so that everything just looks even. Third, since this is one of the thick dynamic folders you will use the base plate, the folder with your card stock, and a clear plate on top for your Big Shot sandwich.
Now take the Versamark pad and tap it lightly over the card stock. Add Gold Emboss Powder and melt with the Heat Tool. This will not cover completely, but enough to add interest. Run a length of the Blackberry Bliss twine from Nature's Twine around this near the bottom and then glue the panel to the card base.
Stamp the flower from Healing Hugs in Blackberry Bliss on Very Vanilla card stock. Stamp 4 of the leaves in Shaded Spruce. You'll have to fussy cut the flower and the leaves. It sounds like a lot, but it's pretty easy cutting. Add the flower with dimensionals. Add the leaves with dimensionals also. Just kind of tuck them under the flower.
Add a bow of the same twine with a glue dot.
The Hello is from Varied Vases. I use it a lot! Stamp in Versamark on vanilla and emboss in gold. Use the Classic Label Punch to punch it out. Trim on the left and add with dimensionals tucking it under a leaf at the end.
Now, of course, the saying has to be gold embossed! This one is from Varied Vases. Stamp the flower in Blackberry Bliss and several of the leaves in Shaded Spruce.
It's really pretty simple but so elegant!
