I think Healing Hugs is one of my favorite stamp sets. You can tell because I've had several other blog posts using it. Check them out here and here and here. My card today is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) of a card found on page 110. Here's my copy.
The card base is Thick Whisper White measuring 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2.
We use a strip of Pear Pizzazz paper from the Subtles 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper stack. It will measure 1 1/4 x 4 1/4. Decide where you would like to place this strip and mark it lightly with a pencil. Then do the stamping that will show from behind the paper. The plus signs stamp and leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz. The other little branches are stamped in Poppy Parade.
Stamp the sentiment on the paper strip. The Happy Birthday is from the Southern Serenade stamp set. I used the Stamparatus because I knew I would need to stamp the sentiment more than one time. Adhere the strip to the card base.
Stamp the flower in Poppy Parade on Whisper White. Also stamp a set of the leaves on this scrap. Cut the flower and leaves out. Adhere with dimensionals.
Add a bow of Linen Thread with a rolled up glue dot.
For the inside of the card, use words from the Southern Serenade stamp set. Stamp the flower in Poppy Parade and leaves in Pear Pizzazz.
You know, it's quite all right to copy someone else's work. Why should we reinvent the wheel? It is important to give credit if your work is not original. When I saw this card in the catalog, I knew I had to copy it!
